The Assign or Remove Manager(s) to User feature lets administrators or account owners designate one or more users as managers for another user. Assigned managers can approve tasks, actions, and documents on behalf of their team members, enforcing approval workflows and clarifying responsibility within QuoteCloud.
Assigning a manager speeds up approvals by giving a named person authority to approve items for their team, reducing bottlenecks and keeping projects moving. It also improves accountability by clearly recording who may approve actions and documents — a useful control when using sales quoting software or sales proposal software to manage client-facing documents.
Yes. QuoteCloud supports assigning multiple managers to a user so more than one person can be authorized to approve tasks and documents for that user. Multiple managers provide coverage when primary approvers are unavailable and help maintain continuity in quote software and proposal software workflows.
Yes. When document workflows include approvers and you choose the option for Managers of the Creator, the assigned manager(s) must approve the document before it moves forward in the workflow. This ensures that approvals in your quote or proposal software reflect assigned managerial responsibilities.
From the user management or general user settings area in QuoteCloud, open the user record you want to update, select one or more managers from the managers field, and save the change. Assigned managers will then appear as approvers for that user's items when workflows reference Managers of the Creator.
To remove a manager, open the same user record in QuoteCloud's user settings, unselect the manager(s) in the managers field (or delete the manager entry), and save the change. The removed manager will no longer appear as an approver for that user's items in workflows that reference Managers of the Creator.
Only users with administrative privileges or account owner rights can assign or remove managers. These permissions ensure that manager assignments are controlled centrally and align with your organization’s approval policies for quote software and proposal software.
Assigned managers appear as named approvers in any workflow that references Managers of the Creator. Approvals they make are recorded in the activity or audit log, providing a clear record of who approved what and when. This improves traceability and accountability for quotes and proposals generated in QuoteCloud.
