Assign Templates to a Team — FAQ
What does "Assign Templates to a Team" mean in QuoteCloud?
This feature allows you to assign specific templates to one or more teams so members can use consistent document layouts, branding, and settings across all proposals and documents.
Who can assign templates to a team?
Only users with the appropriate role permissions—typically administrators or users with access to User Account Controls—can assign templates to a team.
Can team members override an assigned template or its settings?
No. Team members can use the templates assigned to their team, but they cannot modify or override the template itself. A user can only edit, update, or delete a template if their role has permission for Document Templates (create, modify, and delete). Otherwise, they can use the template but cannot change it.
Why should I assign templates to a team?
Assigning templates ensures all team members use standardised layouts, approved branding, and preset document structures, helping maintain consistency across your organisation.
Can multiple templates be assigned to the same team?
Yes. You can assign one or multiple templates to a team depending on the document types they need to create.
Does assigning a template limit access to others?
Yes. When a template is assigned to a specific team, only members of that team can access and use that template.
