What settings can I change in Company Settings?

You can change the default Country, Language, Date Format, Time Zone, Currency, Thousands Symbol, and Decimal Symbol.

What does changing the Country do?

It sets the Company Country field in your Company Information.

What does changing the Language do?

It updates the default language used in your documents and templates.

What does changing the Date Format do?

It sets how dates appear in your documents by default.

What does changing the Time Zone do?

It ensures all document timestamps follow your company’s time zone.

What does changing the Currency do?

It defines the default currency symbol used in documents.

What does changing the Thousands or Decimal Symbol do?

It sets how currency values are formatted in blank templates.

For example:
Using commas: 1,000,00
Using full stops: 1.000.00

Can I override these settings per document?

Yes. You can change them at the document level. Templates inherit the company settings by default.

Why is choosing the right Date Format important?

Choosing a consistent Date Format (e.g., DD/MM/YYYY or MM/DD/YYYY) ensures clarity for international clients and reduces misunderstandings in delivery dates, contract terms, and payment deadlines. Set the date format that matches your clients’ expectations and your internal workflows.
