Signed QuoteCloud documents start ActiveCampaign automations
When a client signs or pays a QuoteCloud document, Zapier can create or update their ActiveCampaign contact, add a tag and put them into an automation. Welcome emails and onboarding steps then start when the deal is actually done.

What ActiveCampaign is
ActiveCampaign is an email marketing and automation platform with sales CRM features. QuoteCloud customers connect it so tags and automations follow what clients sign and pay for.
Each one is a trigger in one app and the steps that follow in the other. Build them as they are, or change any step.

Once every signer has signed, the client contact is created or updated in ActiveCampaign and tagged with the program, ready for any automation that starts on that tag.
When a sponsorship document is paid in full, the sponsor is tagged and a note records the document and amount, so thank-you and reporting steps can follow.

Education & training
Tallowood Learning Co.
Tallowood Learning Co. sends proposals like Leadership Essentials for Harrowgate Health Partners. When Leila Hassan and the finance contact have both signed, Zapier tags Leila in ActiveCampaign with the program name. Tallowood's own automation on that tag sends joining instructions and pre-work. Which sessions and add-ons were bought is up to the client, who ticks them in the proposal.
Ashgrove People & Payroll sends a payroll and HR service agreement to clients such as Brightwater Bakeries Co. When Nadia Ferris signs, Zapier adds her to Ashgrove's onboarding automation in ActiveCampaign, which sends the document checklist and booking link for the setup call. If that automation includes marketing emails, Ashgrove remains responsible for having her consent.
Paperbark Reading Trust sends sponsorship proposals like the Big Book Breakfast 2027 to local businesses such as Saltgrass Bakery. When a sponsor pays through the document, Zapier tags them as a 2027 sponsor in ActiveCampaign and adds a note with the amount. The team then uses that tag for thank-you and impact updates, sent with whatever consent Paperbark holds.

Pick a QuoteCloud trigger
Use Document Signing Complete when all signers must sign, Recipient Signed Document for each signer, or Document Paid for payments.
3
Add the contact, then the tag or automation
Start with Create or Update Contact so the contact exists, then add Add/Remove Tag From Contact or Add Existing Contact to Automation.
4
Test, then turn it on
Run a test with your own email, check the contact in ActiveCampaign, then publish the Zap.
QuoteCloud’s Zapier app and API are on the Essentials plan and up. Documents created through the API or Zapier carry a per-document fee of US$2.00, $1.80 or $1.60 by volume.
FAQ
QuoteCloud and ActiveCampaign: questions
Who is responsible for marketing consent?
You are. Zapier passes the details you map from QuoteCloud into ActiveCampaign, but neither QuoteCloud nor Zapier decides whether a person has agreed to marketing email. Capture consent in a way that suits your business and the rules that apply to you, and keep onboarding or service emails separate from marketing if your consent differs.
Should I tag the contact or add them to an automation?
Either works. Adding a tag with Add/Remove Tag From Contact lets your ActiveCampaign automations start on that tag, which keeps the logic in ActiveCampaign. Add Existing Contact to Automation puts the contact straight into one automation. Both need the contact to exist first, so start the Zap with Create or Update Contact.
Can ActiveCampaign create a QuoteCloud document?
Yes. An ActiveCampaign trigger such as New Deal Added or Updated can run QuoteCloud's Create Document action from your template, filling data items and price-table rows at creation. Zapier cannot tick options or choose content blocks, and documents created this way carry a fee of US$2.00, $1.80 or $1.60 each by volume.
How does QuoteCloud connect to ActiveCampaign?
It runs through QuoteCloud's Zapier app, which needs QuoteCloud on Essentials or up and a Zapier account. Each Zap reacts to one QuoteCloud event and calls ActiveCampaign actions. Changes in ActiveCampaign, such as an unsubscribe, don't flow back into QuoteCloud unless you build a separate Zap for that.
