Signed QuoteCloud documents, filed in the client's Box folder
When a client signs, Zapier fetches the signed PDF from QuoteCloud and uploads it to their folder in Box. It can then add metadata or a review task to the file, so records stay complete without anyone re-saving attachments.

What Box is
Box is secure cloud content management used by businesses that keep client records under tight permissions. QuoteCloud customers in advice, insurance and care use it as their client file, so signed quotes and agreements belong there.
Example businesses from our industry pages, and the job the connection does for each.
Insurance
Tallowmere Insurance Brokers
Tallowmere Insurance Brokers sends quotes like Business insurance for Lantern Lane Café, where the client ticks the covers they want before signing. When Lena and Josh Moretti both signed, Zapier uploaded the signed PDF to the café's Box folder and added metadata for the class of business and renewal month. Maya Lindqvist, the renewals coordinator, finds next year's files from that metadata instead of searching inboxes.
Ferrowby Advice & Lending asks every new client to sign Our engagement with you before advice work starts. When Tom and Alicia Brennan had both signed, Zapier filed the PDF in their Box client folder and added a task for Ruby Ashworth, the paraplanner, to check the file. Nadia Kerrow knows the engagement is on record before she books the first advice meeting.
Kinfield Health quotes equipment and in-home care, such as Care bed and mattress for Rosalind, which Claire Avery signs as Rosalind's representative. The signed PDF is uploaded to Rosalind's Box folder the moment Claire signs, inside the permissions Kinfield already set. Leah Whitford, the care coordinator, can then order the bed knowing the signed quote is on file.
Add QuoteCloud and Box to a new Zap and sign in to each. Zapier access to QuoteCloud is on the Essentials plan and up.
2
Choose the trigger
Use Document Signing Complete when every signer must have signed, or Recipient Signed Document to save after each signature.
3
Fetch the PDF and upload it in the same Zap
Add Generate or Fetch Document PDF Link, then Box Upload File into the client's folder. The link is short-lived, so upload it straight away.
4
Add metadata or a task, then test
Optionally add Add Metadata to File or Add Task to File, run a test with a real signed document, and turn the Zap on.
QuoteCloud’s Zapier app and API are on the Essentials plan and up. Documents created through the API or Zapier carry a per-document fee of US$2.00, $1.80 or $1.60 by volume.
FAQ
QuoteCloud and Box: questions
Does it sync both ways?
No. You build one-way automations in Zapier: a QuoteCloud event such as a signature makes Zapier upload a file, add metadata or create a task in Box. Moving, editing or deleting the file in Box doesn't change the QuoteCloud document. If you want a Box event to start something in QuoteCloud, you'd build a separate Zap with a Box trigger.
How does Zapier know which client folder to use?
You tell it. The simplest approach is a folder named after the client, found with Box's Find a Folder search and used in the Upload File step. If the folder might not exist yet, add a Create Folder step first. Test with a few real clients so names match the way your team already sets up folders.
Can I use Box metadata?
Yes, if your Box account has metadata templates set up. Box's Zapier app includes Add Metadata to File, so you can fill fields like renewal month or adviser from the QuoteCloud document's details. Metadata templates are managed in Box by your administrator, so set those up before you build the Zap.
Why is the PDF uploaded straight away?
The PDF link QuoteCloud gives Zapier is short-lived. It's designed to be fetched and used in the same run, not stored in a field for later. Uploading it to Box in the same Zap turns it into a normal Box file with your folder's permissions, which stays there after the link has expired.
What does it cost?
Zapier access is on QuoteCloud's Essentials plan and up. Filing signed documents in Box doesn't create documents, so the per-document fee for documents created through Zapier or the API (US$2.00, falling to $1.80 and $1.60 by volume) doesn't apply. You'll need a Zapier plan that allows multi-step Zaps.
