From Copper opportunity to signed QuoteCloud proposal
Zapier can draft a QuoteCloud proposal from your template when a Copper opportunity moves to the proposal stage, and mark the opportunity won when the client signs. Your pipeline in Copper then reflects what clients have actually agreed to.

What Copper is
Copper is a CRM built for teams that work in Google Workspace, tracking people, companies and opportunities. QuoteCloud customers connect it so proposals start from the opportunity and the result comes back to it.
Each one is a trigger in one app and the steps that follow in the other. Build them as they are, or change any step.

A QuoteCloud document is created from your proposal template with the client, opportunity name and a price-table row for the agreed fee, ready for the partner to review and send.

Business consulting & strategy
Ashcombe Partners
Ashcombe Partners tracks work like Orrin Marine Supplies' growth advisory retainer in Copper. When the opportunity moves to Proposal, Zapier creates a QuoteCloud document from Ashcombe's retainer template with the client details and fee row filled in. The principal adds the detail, and the partner reviews and sends it. Fee options in the document are for Jess Kowal to tick.
Ambergrove Digital runs its new-business pipeline in Copper, with opportunities like the six-month PR retainer for Copperleaf Gin Co. When Hamish Doyle signs, Zapier finds the opportunity and marks it won, so the founder's pipeline report is right without anyone remembering to update it.
Fernleigh & Sloane sends listing proposals such as 14 Linden Crescent, Marlowe Heights to vendors like Claire and Tom Whitaker. When Claire first opens it, Zapier creates a Copper task for the listing agent to call. The call happens while the proposal is on her screen, not days later.
Use Updated Opportunity Stage to create QuoteCloud documents, or a QuoteCloud trigger such as Document Signing Complete to update Copper.
3
Map fields and match records
Map the opportunity fields to your template's data items and price-table rows, and decide how Zapier will find the right Copper record, for example by the client's email.
4
Test, then turn it on
Move a test opportunity or sign a test document, check both apps, then publish the Zap.
QuoteCloud’s Zapier app and API are on the Essentials plan and up. Documents created through the API or Zapier carry a per-document fee of US$2.00, $1.80 or $1.60 by volume.
FAQ
QuoteCloud and Copper: questions
How does QuoteCloud connect to Copper?
It runs through QuoteCloud's Zapier app. Each Zap reacts to one event, such as an opportunity stage change in Copper or a signed document in QuoteCloud, and calls an action in the other app. You need QuoteCloud on Essentials or up and a Zapier account.
What can Zapier fill in on the QuoteCloud document?
Create Document starts from a QuoteCloud template and can fill data items and price-table rows at creation: label, note, price, quantity, term, tax and discount. It cannot tick options or choose content blocks. Pick the template that has the right sections, and leave option choices to the recipient.
How does Zapier find the right Copper opportunity?
With a search step, such as Copper's Search for a Opportunity or Search for a Person, using a value from the QuoteCloud trigger like the recipient's email or the document name. Test this with real documents, because the match is only as reliable as the value you search on. Keeping one open opportunity per client helps.
What does creating documents from Copper cost?
API and Zapier access is on Essentials and up. Documents created through the API or Zapier carry a fee of US$2.00, $1.80 or $1.60 each, depending on volume. Zaps that only update Copper after a QuoteCloud event don't create documents. You'll also need a Zapier plan that covers your Zaps.
