Signed QuoteCloud documents, filed in Google Drive
Connect QuoteCloud to Google Drive through Zapier and every signed proposal lands as a PDF in the right client folder, without anyone downloading and dragging files. Accepted quotes can open a project folder too, so the job starts where your team already keeps its files.

What Google Drive is
Google Drive is Google's cloud file storage, where many teams keep client folders, drawings and contracts. QuoteCloud customers use it as the single place a finished, signed document belongs.
Each one is a trigger in one app and the steps that follow in the other. Build them as they are, or change any step.

When the last signer signs, the Zap fetches the signed PDF and uploads it straight away into a folder named for the client, because the PDF link is short-lived.

Architects & engineers
Fenwick Arden
Fenwick Arden sends staged fee proposals for new homes and fit-outs, and each one needs two signatures before work starts. Their project files already live in Google Drive, one folder per client. With Document Signing Complete as the trigger, the signed fee proposal is uploaded to that folder as a PDF the moment the second client signs, so the practice manager no longer chases copies for the job file.
Corbel Building Co. quotes extensions, renovations and commercial fit-outs, with options the client ticks in the price table. Once a client accepts, the site supervisor needs a job folder for plans, photos and variations. A Zap on Document Accepted creates that folder in Google Drive and copies in the start-up checklist, so the job is set up before the deposit clears.
Tidewell Pavilion sends wedding and function proposals with a form for guest numbers and dietary needs. When a couple submits the form on their proposal, the Zap writes their answers into a Google Doc in the event's folder. The coordinator and kitchen work from that one document instead of retyping replies from email.
Create a Zap and sign in to your QuoteCloud account and to Google Drive when Zapier asks. Zapier is available on QuoteCloud's Essentials plan and up.
2
Choose the QuoteCloud trigger
Pick the event that starts the work, such as Document Signing Complete, Document Accepted or Form Submitted on Document, and test it with a real document.
3
Add the Google Drive steps
For a signed PDF, add Generate or Fetch Document PDF Link and then Upload File in the same Zap, so the file is saved while the link is still valid. Map the client name into the folder name.
4
Test and turn it on
Run the Zap with a test document, check the file landed in the right folder, then switch the Zap on.
QuoteCloud’s Zapier app and API are on the Essentials plan and up. Documents created through the API or Zapier carry a per-document fee of US$2.00, $1.80 or $1.60 by volume.
FAQ
QuoteCloud and Google Drive: questions
How does QuoteCloud connect to Google Drive?
QuoteCloud connects to Google Drive through QuoteCloud's Zapier app. You choose the QuoteCloud event that starts a Zap, such as Document Signing Complete, and the Google Drive action that follows, such as Upload File. Files move one way, from QuoteCloud to Drive, each time the event happens.
Why does the Zap need to upload the PDF straight away?
Generate or Fetch Document PDF Link gives Zapier a link to the document's PDF that only works for a short time. Put the Google Drive Upload File step right after it in the same Zap, so the file is copied into Drive while the link is valid. Don't store the link itself for later.
Can Google Drive start a QuoteCloud document?
Yes. Google Drive's triggers, such as New File in Folder, can start a Zap that runs QuoteCloud's Create Document action. The document is made from one of your templates, and Zapier can fill data items and price-table rows. It can't tick options or choose content blocks; your client ticks the options.
Which QuoteCloud plan do I need?
QuoteCloud's Zapier app and API are available on the Essentials plan and up. Filing documents in Drive doesn't add a charge, but each document created through the API or Zapier carries a per-document fee of US$2.00, $1.80 or $1.60 depending on volume. Zapier's own plan limits apply as well.
Can I file documents by client or by project?
Yes. Use Google Drive's Find or Create Folder step and map the client or document name from the QuoteCloud trigger into the folder name. The Zap finds the folder if it exists or creates it, then uploads the file there, so each client's signed documents stay together.
