When a client signs an order or comments on a proposal, Zapier can create a Jira issue in the right project with the client and document details on it. Technical teams get the work in the tool they already use, with the signed PDF attached where it matters.

What Jira is
Jira is Atlassian's issue and project tracker, used by software, IT and security teams to plan and track work. QuoteCloud customers in those fields use it to hand signed work from sales to delivery.

Once every signer has signed, an engagement issue is created and the signed PDF is attached to it straight away, so testers can see the authorisation before work starts.

Software & SaaS
Plinthwork
Plinthwork sends a Security and data protection document alongside bigger deals. When Lena Albright at Tidemark Property Services commented with a question about data retention, Zapier created a Jira issue for Amara Osei, the security and compliance lead. Amara answered on the document, Theo Marchetti kept the deal moving, and the question is on record in Jira for the next customer who asks.
Quillfield IT quotes hardware and setup in documents like Laptops & licences for four new starters. When the client signed, Zapier created an issue in Quillfield's Jira service project with the client, device list and total. Hannah Sato, the service delivery manager, assigned it, and the laptops were imaged and ready before the starters' first day.
Northlatch Security can't test anything until the client has signed Rules of engagement & authorisation to test. When Juno Adeyemi and Marcus Oyelaran at Brightfern Software had both signed, Zapier created an engagement issue in Jira and attached the signed PDF. Felix Aranda, the lead penetration tester, starts only from issues that carry that attachment, and Jonah Petrakis no longer chases signatures by hand.
Add QuoteCloud and Jira Software Cloud to a new Zap and sign in to each. Zapier access to QuoteCloud is on the Essentials plan and up.

Pick the QuoteCloud trigger
Choose Recipient Signed Document, Document Signing Complete or Document Comment Event, and add a Zapier filter if only some documents should raise issues.
3
Map the issue
Choose Jira Create Issue, pick the project and issue type, and map the client, document name and details into the summary and description.
4
Attach the PDF if you need it, then test
Add Generate or Fetch Document PDF Link and Add Attachment to Issue in the same Zap, run a test, and turn it on.
QuoteCloud’s Zapier app and API are on the Essentials plan and up. Documents created through the API or Zapier carry a per-document fee of US$2.00, $1.80 or $1.60 by volume.
FAQ
QuoteCloud and Jira: questions
Does it sync both ways?
No. Each Zap is a one-way automation: a QuoteCloud event creates an issue or attachment in Jira. Moving or closing the issue doesn't change the QuoteCloud document. If you want Jira to act on QuoteCloud, for example Issue Status Changed triggering Update Document Status or Create Document for a retest quote, you build that as a separate Zap and choose exactly what it does.
Why attach the PDF instead of linking to it?
The PDF link QuoteCloud gives Zapier is short-lived, so a link in the issue description would stop working. Fetching the link and running Jira's Add Attachment to Issue in the same Zap stores the signed PDF on the issue itself, where it stays for anyone with access to the project.
Which Jira does this work with?
The Zapier app is Jira Software Cloud, so it's for Jira on Atlassian's cloud. If your Jira runs on your own servers, check Zapier's separate options for that before you plan around it. You choose the project, issue type and fields in the Zap, so it works with your existing workflow.
Will every comment create an issue?
Document Comment Event fires for comment activity on your documents, so on its own it could create more issues than you want. Add a Zapier filter that only continues for certain documents, such as ones with security in the name, or for comments from recipients rather than your own team. Test it on a few documents first.
What does it cost?
Zapier access is on QuoteCloud's Essentials plan and up. Creating Jira issues doesn't create QuoteCloud documents, so the per-document fee for documents created through Zapier or the API (US$2.00, falling to $1.80 and $1.60 by volume) doesn't apply. If a Jira Zap does create documents, such as a retest quote, the fee applies to each one.
