Getting started with QuoteCloud

QuoteCloud + monday.com

Pick a monday.com item. Get it signed.

Connect QuoteCloud to monday.com through Zapier and each quote is built from an item's column values, so nobody retypes names and amounts. When the buyer opens and signs, a Zap can post an update and change the item's status on the board.

What monday.com is

monday.com is a work management platform where teams track jobs, leads and deals as items on boards. QuoteCloud customers sell from a monday.com board and send the quote their customer signs from QuoteCloud.

In practice

How three businesses use QuoteCloud with monday.com

Example businesses from our industry pages, and the job the connection does for each.

Landscaping & gardening

Larkspur Garden Co.

Larkspur Garden Co. runs its garden design and build leads on a monday.com board. When Noah Field adds an item for a new client, a Zap creates the landscape proposal with the client's name and the job amount filled in. Noah adds site photos and the planting plan, and the client ticks optional extras such as lighting before signing.

Glasswing Studio

Glasswing Studio plans every website build on a monday.com board. Director Mia Okonkwo sent Sparrow & Pine Florist a proposal for a new site with an online shop. When Ella Mancini first opened it, a Zap posted an update on the item, so developer Ravi Desai knew the proposal was being read and kept time free for the kick-off.

Signage & print

Morrowgate Print & Signs

Morrowgate Print & Signs tracks custom sign jobs on a monday.com board, one item per quote. Director Ines Calloway sent Copperleaf Café a shopfront signage quote. When Lena Marchetti signed, a Zap set the item's status to Won and its amount to the signed total, so production saw the job move without a message from sales.

FAQ

QuoteCloud and monday.com: questions

How does QuoteCloud connect to monday.com?

Through QuoteCloud's Zapier app. You choose a trigger, such as a new item on your board or a document being signed in QuoteCloud, connect your QuoteCloud account by authorising Zapier or entering your API key, then pick the action, map the fields, test the Zap and turn it on. There is nothing to install and no developer needed.

What do I need on the monday.com side?

A monday.com account with the board your team sells from, a QuoteCloud account on the Essentials plan or higher, and a Zapier account to link the two. Keep a column for the QuoteCloud document number or name, so a Zap can find the right item later with monday.com's Find Items search.

What data moves between monday.com and QuoteCloud?

Column values on an item, such as the contact, the company and the amount, can fill data items and price-table rows in a QuoteCloud template. Going the other way, QuoteCloud events such as a document being created, first viewed or signed can update the item, for example by changing its status column or posting an update.

Can Zapier pick the options on the quote?

No. Zapier can fill data items and price-table rows when the document is created, with a label, note, price, quantity, term, tax and discount for each row. It doesn't tick options or choose content blocks. Optional extras in your template stay for your customer to tick before they sign, and the total updates as they choose.

What does it cost?

Zapier and the API are on QuoteCloud's Essentials plan and up. Each document created through Zapier or the API carries a fee of US$2.00, falling to $1.80 and $1.60 at higher volumes. Zaps that only update monday.com items don't create documents, so they carry no QuoteCloud fee. You also need a Zapier plan that covers your task volume.
