Signed QuoteCloud quotes, filed in Microsoft OneDrive
Connect QuoteCloud to OneDrive through Zapier and the signed PDF of every quote is saved in the client's folder, named with its reference and title. The final copy stops living in inboxes and download folders, and new customers get a folder of their own.
Microsoft OneDrive is the cloud file storage in Microsoft 365, where many teams keep client folders and contracts. QuoteCloud customers use it as the place a signed document belongs, open on desktop, tablet or phone.
Each one is a trigger in one app and the steps that follow in the other. Build them as they are, or change any step.

When the last signer signs, the Zap fetches the signed PDF and uploads it straight away to the client's folder, named with the quote reference and title, because the PDF link is short-lived.

An accepted quote is saved as a PDF in the Quotes folder you choose, in the same Zap as the link is fetched, so the office can book the job from one place.

Legal
Thistlewood Marsh Lawyers
Thistlewood Marsh Lawyers sends costs agreements and engagement letters that both clients often need to sign. Their matter files live in OneDrive, one folder per client. With Document Signing Complete as the trigger, the signed costs agreement for Mia and Lachlan Brennan's first home purchase is uploaded to their folder as soon as the second signature lands, so nobody saves attachments by hand.
Ledgerline Advisory sends engagement letters and fixed monthly fee proposals to new clients. Each client needs a OneDrive folder for statements and returns. A Zap on New Contact Created makes that folder as soon as a contact like Hearth Lane Bakery is added in QuoteCloud, so the folder is ready before the engagement letter is signed.
Ridgeline Trade Services sends quotes with optional extras that customers tick in the price table before accepting. The scheduler books jobs from a shared OneDrive folder. When a quote is accepted, the Zap fetches its PDF and uploads it to the Quotes folder, so the scheduler sees the agreed scope and options without waiting for an email.
Create a Zap and sign in to QuoteCloud and to your Microsoft account with OneDrive when Zapier asks. Zapier access to QuoteCloud is on the Essentials plan and up.
2
Choose the QuoteCloud trigger
Pick the event that starts the work, such as Document Signing Complete, Document Accepted or New Contact Created, and test it with a real document.
3
Add the OneDrive steps
For a signed PDF, add Generate or Fetch Document PDF Link and then Upload File in the same Zap, so the file is saved while the link is still valid. Map the client name into the folder and the quote reference into the file name.
4
Test and turn it on
Run the Zap with a test document signed at an @example.com address, check the file landed in the right folder, then switch the Zap on.
Zapier access is on QuoteCloud's Essentials plan and up. Filing documents in OneDrive doesn't create documents, so it carries no QuoteCloud document fee.
FAQ
QuoteCloud and Microsoft OneDrive: questions
How does QuoteCloud connect to Microsoft OneDrive?
Through QuoteCloud's Zapier app, with no code to write. You pick a QuoteCloud event as the trigger, such as Document Signing Complete, then a OneDrive action such as Upload File or Create Folder. Map the fields, test the Zap and turn it on. Files move one way, from QuoteCloud to OneDrive, each time the event happens.
Why does the Zap need to upload the PDF straight away?
Generate or Fetch Document PDF Link gives Zapier a link to the document's PDF that only works for a short time. Put the OneDrive Upload File step right after it in the same Zap, so the file is copied into OneDrive while the link is valid. Don't store the link itself to use later.
Can I choose the folder and the file name?
Yes. In the Upload File step, map the client or company name from the QuoteCloud trigger into the folder path, and build the file name from the quote's own details, such as its reference and title. Signed contracts, approved quotes and proposal templates can each go to the folder you choose.
Can I bring Word files from OneDrive into QuoteCloud?
Yes. Documents kept in OneDrive, including docx and Word Online files, can be uploaded to QuoteCloud and converted into editable documents in the QuoteCloud editor. From there you can add a price table, a form and eSignature, then send it to your client to review, tick options and sign.
Which QuoteCloud plan do I need?
Zapier access is on QuoteCloud's Essentials plan and up. Filing documents in OneDrive carries no QuoteCloud fee. Each document created through Zapier or the API carries a fee of US$2.00, falling to $1.80 and $1.60 at higher volumes. Zapier and Microsoft OneDrive are separate services with their own plans.
