Opened, signed and commented quotes, posted in Slack
Connect QuoteCloud to Slack through Zapier and your team hears the moment a client opens, signs or comments on a quote. Views can go to the sales channel, signatures to a wins channel and comments straight to the person who owns the deal.
Slack is a team chat app with channels and direct messages, where many sales and delivery teams talk through their day. QuoteCloud customers use it so document updates reach people where they already work, instead of in email.

Events & functions
Tidewell Pavilion
Tidewell Pavilion sends wedding and corporate function proposals with menus, packages and a form for guest numbers. The sales team lives in Slack between site tours. A Zap on Recipient First Viewed Document posts to #sales when a client such as Kestrel Analytics opens their end-of-year function proposal, so the coordinator calls while the proposal is still on screen.
Fernleigh & Sloane Property sends listing proposals and agency agreements that vendors sign online. When every signer has signed, the Zap posts the property and the agreement to the office's #listings-won channel. The marketing coordinator books the photographer from that message instead of waiting for the agent to get back to the office.
Ambergrove Digital sends retainer and campaign proposals, and clients often comment on scope before they sign. A Zap on Document Comment Event finds the account manager in Slack by email and sends them a direct message with the comment. When Elena Marsh at Kinroy Outdoor Co. asks about reporting, her account manager replies in the document the same hour.
Create a Zap and sign in to QuoteCloud, or paste your API key if Zapier asks, then connect your Slack workspace. Zapier access to QuoteCloud is on the Essentials plan and up.

FAQ
QuoteCloud and Slack: questions
How does QuoteCloud connect to Slack?
Through QuoteCloud's Zapier app, with no code to write. Choose a QuoteCloud trigger, such as Document Signing Complete, connect your QuoteCloud account, then choose a Slack action such as Send Channel Message. Map the fields into the message, test it and turn it on. Each Zap posts one kind of update.
Which QuoteCloud events can post to Slack?
You choose. QuoteCloud's Zapier triggers include Recipient First Viewed Document, Recipient Signed Document, Document Signing Complete, Document Accepted, Document Review Accepted, Document Paid, Document Status Changed and Document Comment Event. Each one can start its own Zap, so you can post views, approvals, signatures, payments and comments to different channels.
Can I choose the channel and the wording?
Yes. Each Zap posts to the Slack channel or direct message you pick, so signed deals can go to one channel and day-to-day activity to another. You write the message text yourself and drop in fields from QuoteCloud, such as the document name, the client and the total.
What data is shared with Slack?
Only the fields you map into the message are sent to Slack, such as the document name, the client and the total. The document itself stays in QuoteCloud, which protects documents with 256-bit encryption and is hosted on AWS. Who sees each message depends on the Slack channel or person you choose.
Which QuoteCloud plan do I need?
Zapier access is on QuoteCloud's Essentials plan and up. Posting updates to Slack carries no QuoteCloud fee. Each document created through Zapier or the API carries a fee of US$2.00, falling to $1.80 and $1.60 at higher volumes. Slack and Zapier are separate services with their own plans and limits.
