Price requests on Zendesk tickets, answered with a signable quote
When a customer asks for a price on a ticket, your agent replies with a QuoteCloud quote they can review and sign on any device. Zapier writes what happens next back to the ticket, so the queue shows who is waiting on whom.
Zendesk is customer service software where support teams handle tickets, customers and organisations. QuoteCloud customers use it for support and use QuoteCloud when a ticket turns into a price request, an add-on or a renewal that needs a signature.
Each one is a trigger in one app and the steps that follow in the other. Build them as they are, or change any step.

Tagging a ticket creates a draft quote from your template with the requester's name, email and organisation as data items, ready for the agent to check and send.

IT services
Quillfield IT
Quillfield IT runs its helpdesk in Zendesk, and requests for new laptops and licences arrive as tickets. When an agent tags a ticket for a quote, Zapier creates a draft licence and hardware quote with the requester's details filled in. The agent adds the devices from the product catalogue, sends it, and the client signs online.
Pellucid Facility Services takes requests for extra work through Zendesk, such as periodical cleans at a client's site. The account manager replies with an extra work quote from QuoteCloud. When Clare Whitcombe at Halden Property Group first opens it, an internal note lands on her ticket, so the team knows to follow up rather than resend.
Plinthwork's support team gets add-on and seat requests from customers on Zendesk tickets. The agent sends an order form from QuoteCloud with the new seats as price-table rows. When Dana Whitcombe at Mossbank Health Partners signs, the Zap adds a note with the total and marks her ticket solved, and the signed order stays on record in QuoteCloud.
Create a Zap and sign in to QuoteCloud and Zendesk when Zapier asks. Zapier access to QuoteCloud is on the Essentials plan and up.
2
Pick the trigger

3
Find the ticket and map the fields
Use Find Tickets with the requester's email to pick the right ticket, then map the document's name and total into the note and set the status.
4
Test, then switch it on
Run a test with a ticket and a quote sent to an @example.com address, check the ticket in Zendesk, and turn the Zap on.
QuoteCloud's Zapier app is on the Essentials plan and up; each document created through Zapier or the API carries a fee of US$2.00, $1.80 or $1.60 depending on volume.
FAQ
QuoteCloud and Zendesk: questions
How does QuoteCloud connect to Zendesk?
Through QuoteCloud's Zapier app, with no code to write. You choose a trigger, such as a tag added to a Zendesk ticket or a QuoteCloud document being signed, then the action in the other app, and map the fields. Each Zap is a one-way automation that runs every time its trigger fires.
Can agents create and send quotes from a ticket?
A Zap can create a QuoteCloud document from a ticket, using the requester's details as data items and your own template for pricing, terms and content. Agents then check the quote, send it and share the link in their reply. Zapier doesn't tick options or choose content blocks; the customer ticks any options.
What can be written back to the ticket?
Whatever you map in Zapier. Typical choices are an internal note when the customer first views the quote, and a note with the document's name and total when it is signed, with the ticket's status set to Solved. You choose which events write back, and can start with one and add more.
Are the signatures and tracking included?
Yes. Every QuoteCloud plan includes legally binding eSignatures, and your customer can view and sign on any device. Signatures are eIDAS compliant and documents are protected with 256-bit encryption. QuoteCloud records when a document is sent, first viewed and signed, and Zapier can pass the viewed and signed events to the ticket.
What does it cost?
QuoteCloud's Zapier app is on the Essentials plan and up. Each document created through Zapier or the API carries a fee of US$2.00, falling to $1.80 and $1.60 at higher volumes. Zaps that only add notes or update tickets don't create documents, so they carry no document fee. You also need a Zendesk account and a Zapier plan.
