IT services

Quillfield IT

Quillfield IT sells managed IT and cloud support to small firms, and every opportunity starts as a deal in Zendesk Sell. When Nina Castell added a deal for Thornbury & Webb, Zapier created the managed services proposal with Rebecca Webb's details filled in. Nina added the support plan from the product catalogue, and the price table totalled itself, tax included.

Software & SaaS

Plinthwork

Plinthwork sells maintenance planning software, and its account executives work their deals in Zendesk Sell. When Dana Whitcombe at Mossbank Health Partners first opened her subscription quote, a note landed on the deal. Theo Marchetti saw it in his pipeline and called while the pricing was fresh, instead of waiting a week to chase.

Telecommunications

Tallwire Communications

Tallwire Communications quotes business internet, voice and managed services across multiple sites. When Priya Nair signed the service agreement for Saltmarsh Freight Co.'s three sites, Zapier moved the deal to won in Zendesk Sell. Jordan Hale's manager saw the win in the pipeline without asking, and provisioning could start from the signed document.

FAQ

QuoteCloud and Zendesk Sell: questions

How does QuoteCloud connect to Zendesk Sell?

Through QuoteCloud's Zapier app. Each Zap pairs a trigger in one app with actions in the other. A new deal in Zendesk Sell can create a QuoteCloud document, and QuoteCloud events such as Recipient First Viewed Document or Document Signing Complete can add a note to the deal or update it. No code is needed.

Does it keep deals and quotes matching both ways?

No. Each Zap is a one-way automation that runs when its trigger fires. A deal can start a quote, and a quote event can update the deal, but these are separate Zaps. Editing the deal after the quote is sent won't change the quote, so revise the document in QuoteCloud when the details change.

Can Zapier add products and options to the quote?

Zapier can fill data items and price-table rows when the document is created, with a label, note, price, quantity, term, tax and discount for each row. It doesn't tick options or choose content blocks. Optional extras in your template stay there for the client to tick when they review the quote.

Which QuoteCloud events can update a deal?

Any of QuoteCloud's Zapier triggers can start a Zap, including Document Created, Recipient First Viewed Document, Recipient Signed Document, Document Signing Complete and Document Status Changed. Use Zendesk Sell's Find Deal to locate the right deal, then Update Deal or Create Note to write the change to it.

What does it cost?

Zapier access is on QuoteCloud's Essentials plan and up. Each document created through Zapier or the API carries a fee of US$2.00, falling to $1.80 and $1.60 at higher volumes. Zaps that only update deals or add notes don't create documents, so they carry no QuoteCloud fee. Your Zapier plan's own task limits apply too.
