What is QuoteCloud for sign and print businesses?
QuoteCloud is quoting, proposal and eSignature software for sign makers, commercial printers, packaging printers and large-format and display producers. You send quotes from your own templates, with your estimating sheet inside, your materials and stocks as price lines, run lengths and options the client chooses, the artwork proof, the signature and a deposit paid on signing.
Can my estimating spreadsheet set the prices in the quote?
Yes. Build your calculator as a Spreadsheet block in your quote template, or import your existing .xlsx. Any cell can be connected to a price line's description and unit price, so the area, material, finish and install hours your formulas work out become the lines the client sees. Quantities and options stay on the price table as usual.
Can I quote several run lengths in one quote?
Yes. Put each run length on its own line in a single-choice group, for example 2,500, 5,000 and 7,500, each with its unit price from your run sheet. The client picks one and the total follows. The breaks are your own figures from your sheet: QuoteCloud doesn't apply quantity-break rules by itself.
Can the client approve the artwork proof inside the quote?
Yes. Add the proof as an image or PDF block with your checks, and the client approves it with the same legally binding signature they use for the quote, after asking any questions in the comments. The signed document carries a certificate of authenticity. Preflight, imposition and file checks stay with your artwork team.
Are the colours on screen accurate?
No screen is a colour proof, and QuoteCloud doesn't do colour proofing. Say so on your proof, as the samples here do, and offer a printed or press proof when colour is critical. QuoteCloud carries the proof and records the client's approval; colour management stays in your workflow.
How does AI quoting with MCP work?
QuoteCloud's MCP service, on the Essentials plan and up, lets an AI assistant you connect work with QuoteCloud. It can be set up to read a spec email or enquiry, find the client, create a draft from your template and add lines from your product library. What it prepares is a draft: your approval rules still apply and nothing is sent until a person sends it.
Can I take a deposit before a job goes into production?
Yes, from the Essentials plan. Set a deposit as a percentage or a fixed amount, or ask for full payment, and the client pays through Stripe or PayPal as they sign. The balance is your own invoice: QuoteCloud doesn't offer instalments, payment reminders or automatic billing.
Can QuoteCloud help with reorders?
Yes. Duplicate last year's quote and update the prices, or have your automation or AI assistant prepare the reorder as a draft from the previous job. Lines such as a cutting forme or plates kept on file can go in at $0, so the client sees what's included.
Does QuoteCloud replace my print MIS or schedule production?
No. QuoteCloud does the quote, the proof approval, the signature and the deposit. It doesn't do prepress, production scheduling, job tickets or stock control. Your print MIS or job system can connect through Zapier, Make or the QuoteCloud API, for example to create a job when a quote is signed.
Can a website quote form create a quote?
Yes. From the Essentials plan your website or its automation can create a quote from your template through the QuoteCloud API, Zapier or Make, filling data items and adding price-table rows. Zapier can also write values into Spreadsheet block cells. It doesn't tick options or choose content blocks. API and Zapier documents carry a per-document fee.
