Print quotes with every run length side by side
Your run sheet works out press sheets, stock, make-ready and finishing for each quantity; the quote offers them as one choice and the client picks.

With QuoteCloud a printer quotes several run lengths in one document: the run sheet, a Spreadsheet block with the printer's own stock, click, make-ready and finishing rates, sets each alternative line's unit price, the client chooses one run length, adds extras, signs and pays. The breaks are the printer's own figures, not a QuoteCloud pricing rule.

An engineered drawing of three pallets of printed press sheets for a fictional printer, Morrowgate Print & Signs, quoting festival programmes for the Lakeview Arts Festival. The piles step up with the run: 3,900 press sheets for 2,500 programmes, 7,800 for 5,000 and 11,700 for 7,500, while the price per copy steps down: $0.97, $0.85 and $0.80, each from the run sheet's unit price row, Run!B10 to D10. A circular detail shows the top sheet with its crop marks and colour bar. The quote card offers the three run lengths as one choice plus delivery at $120.00; with 5,000 chosen the total is $4,807.00 inc tax.

One run sheet, every run length priced
Rafe's run sheet is a Spreadsheet block in the print-quote template. It works out press sheets with his spoilage allowance, then stock, printing, make-ready and plates, and fold, stitch and trim, for 2,500, 5,000 and 7,500 copies side by side. Row 10 rounds each job price up to a price per copy.
Each cell in row 10 is connected to the unit price of one line in a single-choice group, so Adele sees three run lengths and picks one. The breaks are Morrowgate's own figures from its own sheet: QuoteCloud doesn't apply quantity-break rules by itself.
- Run!B10:D10 → each run length's unit price
- Run lengths as one choice: the client picks, the total follows
- Quantities stay on the lines: 2,500, 5,000, 7,500

Slide the copies to see what the run sheet works out and which of the quoted run lengths covers it. Make-ready and plates spread over more copies, so the price per copy falls.

The run sheet, as a worked example
B4Press sheets =ROUNDUP(copies×1.5×(1+4%),0)- 6,240
B9Job price sheets×($0.24+$0.16) + $640 make-ready + finishing- $3,496.00
B10Unit price =ROUNDUP(B9/copies,2)- $0.88
The quote's 5,000 line covers 4,000 copies ($4,250.00). An exact run of 4,000 from the same sheet would be $0.88 a copy, a new line your estimator adds.
A worked example of a printer's own run sheet with fictional rates, drawn on this page. It isn't a QuoteCloud calculator: in QuoteCloud the sheet is a Spreadsheet block you build with your own formulas, and a new run length is a new line your estimator adds. QuoteCloud does no imposition, press planning or paper pricing.
Why printers quote run lengths in one document
What changes when the client compares run lengths in the quote instead of in three emails.
One quote, not three
2,500, 5,000 and 7,500 as alternatives in a single-choice group; the client picks and signs once.
Prices from your run sheet
Your stock, click, make-ready and finishing rates in a Spreadsheet block; connected cells set each unit price.
The price per copy, visible
Unit price and amount on every line, so the client sees what the longer run saves.
Add-ons to tick
Posters, extra proofs or a second delivery as optional lines.
Stocks from your library
Papers, finishes and delivery from your materials library, with costs hidden.
Paid as they sign
A deposit or full payment through Stripe or PayPal, so the job can go on the press.

Adele picked 5,000 and ticked the posters
The quote she signed shows exactly what she chose: 5,000 programmes at $0.85 a copy, 100 A2 posters for the town and delivery to the festival office, $5,010.50 inc tax.
The activity shows what happened, from opening the quote to the certificate of authenticity. Morrowgate's production team takes it from there in its own job system.

Print run and quantity break questions
Can I quote several print run lengths in one quote?
Yes. Put each run length on its own line in a single-choice group, for example 2,500, 5,000 and 7,500 copies. The client picks one, the total and the deposit follow, and they sign the quote with their choice recorded.
Does QuoteCloud calculate quantity-break prices?
Not by itself. The breaks are your own figures. Your run sheet, as a Spreadsheet block on the Essentials plan and up, works out each run length's price per copy with your formulas, and connected cells set each line's unit price. Tiered pricing rules are not a QuoteCloud feature.
Can a spreadsheet cell set the quantity of a line?
No. A cell can be connected to a line's description and unit price, and the price table total can come back into a cell. The quantity is set on the line as usual, for example 5,000 programmes.
What if the client wants a quantity I didn't quote?
Type the new quantity into your run sheet and add it as a line, or duplicate the quote with the new run. The sheet works the price out the same way, so a 4,000 run is priced on the same basis as the others.
Does QuoteCloud do imposition or paper pricing?
No. Imposition, press planning, paper prices and production scheduling stay in your own systems. QuoteCloud carries your run sheet, the price lines, the proof, the signature and the deposit.
