QuoteCloud's API and Zapier app are on Essentials and up. They create documents from templates with data items and price-table rows, send them, and manage contacts and products. Events reach your system through Zapier. There's no public API reference yet, so the QuoteCloud team supplies the endpoint and credentials. Created documents carry a per-document fee.

Building on QuoteCloud
What is the QuoteCloud API?
It's how your own software works with QuoteCloud: creating documents from templates with data items and price-table rows, adding recipients, sending, reading status, fetching PDF links and managing contacts and products. It shares its actions with QuoteCloud's Zapier app, and both are on the Essentials plan and up.
Is there public API documentation?
Not yet. QuoteCloud doesn't publish an API reference, so the request examples on this site are illustrative and their field names follow QuoteCloud's Zapier app. Book a call with the QuoteCloud team for the endpoint, the authentication method and the fields your integration needs.
Can the API fill a price table?
Yes. A create call can add pricing and heading rows to a named price table, each with label, notes, quantity and price, and tax, discount, cost and term if you need them. It can also replace the template's rows in that table. Optional items stay in the template for the client to tick.
Can the API keep our product catalogue in step?
Yes. Create Product adds or updates products by SKU with names, folder, price and images; Find Product and Find or Create Product match an exact SKU; List Products pages through the library. The Product Changed trigger reports edits made in QuoteCloud. Product Library is on Essentials.
Connecting and events
Does QuoteCloud support webhooks?
Not as a documented feature. QuoteCloud publishes its document events as triggers in its Zapier app. To get one to your own server, build a Zap on the trigger and add a Webhooks by Zapier POST to your endpoint. Ask the QuoteCloud team if your build needs events without Zapier.
How do I authenticate with the QuoteCloud API?
QuoteCloud issues the credential for your account and tells you how to send it; the scheme isn't published, so ask the team. Zapier signs in to your QuoteCloud account with OAuth when you add it to a Zap, and Make uses its built-in OAuth connection.
Can we use Make instead of Zapier?
Yes, as a bring-your-own setup. QuoteCloud has no ready-made app on Make: you connect Make to QuoteCloud with Make's built-in OAuth connection, then call QuoteCloud's API or Zapier endpoints from your scenario, beside Make's own modules for your other apps. API access is on Essentials and up.
Can a form on our website create a proposal?
Yes. Your form posts to your own server, which calls QuoteCloud's API to create the proposal from a template with the answers in data items and price-table rows. Without code, the form can post to a Zap that runs Create Document, Add Document Recipient and Send Document.

Cost and security
How much does the QuoteCloud API cost?
You need QuoteCloud's Essentials plan or higher, from US$39 per user per month. Each document created through the API or Zapier carries a per-document fee of US$2.00, $1.80 or $1.60, by volume. There's no separate charge for API access itself, and eSignatures are included on every plan.
Are there rate limits?
They aren't published. Ask the QuoteCloud team for the limits that apply to your account before you build anything that creates documents in bulk. Searches that list documents or products return pages of up to 100 at a time, with a cursor for the next page.
How are documents created through the API protected?
Like every QuoteCloud document: hosted on Amazon Web Services with 256-bit encryption, optional one-time passcodes for signers, eIDAS-compliant eSignatures, and a certificate of authenticity with an audit trail. Keep your QuoteCloud credential on your server, never in a web page.
Is there a free trial?
Yes. QuoteCloud has a free 14-day trial with no credit card required, so you can build templates, data items and price tables and test the Zapier app. Book a demo to talk through API access and your integration with the QuoteCloud team.
