Connect your Salesforce org from QuoteCloud with OAuth, then start documents from Opportunities and watch their status come back. No code, and no Zaps to build.

The Salesforce Sync add-on is on QuoteCloud's Business plan. Connect your Salesforce org from QuoteCloud by signing in with OAuth; there is no code to write. Reps then start QuoteCloud documents from an Opportunity, each document stays linked to that Opportunity, and its status, such as delivered, first viewed and signed, comes back to it.

How do I set up the Salesforce Sync add-on?
Four steps, the first one with QuoteCloud. None of them needs code.
- 1
Be on Business
Salesforce Sync is on QuoteCloud's Business plan. Book a demo to add it to your account.
- 2
Connect your org with OAuth
Sign in to your Salesforce org from QuoteCloud. There is no code to write.
- 3
Start documents from Opportunities
Reps start the QuoteCloud document from the Opportunity, and it stays linked to that Opportunity.
- 4
Watch the status come back
Document status updates are written back to Salesforce as they happen: delivered, first viewed, signed.
Connect once, with OAuth
OAuth means you sign in to Salesforce and approve the connection; QuoteCloud never asks for your Salesforce password. Use an account that can see the Opportunities, accounts and contacts your reps quote from.
After that, reps start documents from Opportunities. There is nothing to build in Zapier for it.
- No code to write.
- Need a hand? QuoteCloud's professional services team sets up templates and integrations.

Templates ready for the Opportunity
The document the rep starts comes from your QuoteCloud template, filled with the Opportunity's account and contact details. Build the template first: tokens for those details, your price table, the options buyers can tick and the signature block.
Test with one Opportunity before the whole team starts: check which details fill in, then adjust the template.

Before you start
QuoteCloud Business
Salesforce Sync is on Business, with Approval Workflow, Scheduled Document Send and the Sales Forecast.
Access to your org
Someone who can sign in to your Salesforce org and approve the OAuth connection.
A template to start from
The quote template reps will start from the Opportunity, with your price table and options.
A test Opportunity
A test Opportunity with an @example.com contact, so nothing reaches a real client.
What the add-on does, and what Zaps add
The Salesforce Sync add-on does three things: it connects your org with OAuth, it keeps each document started from an Opportunity linked to it, and it sends the document's status back to that Opportunity as it happens.
Other jobs are Zaps: moving the stage to Closed Won on signature, matching contacts and accounts and following up expired and lost quotes. Business includes Zapier access, so you can run both.
Questions about setting up the add-on
Do I need a developer to set up the Salesforce Sync add-on?
No. You connect your Salesforce org from QuoteCloud by signing in with OAuth, and there is no code to write. QuoteCloud's professional services team can also set up templates and integrations for you if you'd like a hand, and onboarding services help your team get sending.
Which QuoteCloud plan has the Salesforce Sync add-on?
The Business plan. Book a demo with QuoteCloud to add Salesforce Sync to your account. Business also includes Approval Workflow, Scheduled Document Send, the Sales Forecast and Zapier access, for the jobs the add-on doesn't do, such as Closed Won on signature.
What does OAuth mean for our Salesforce org?
You sign in to Salesforce and approve the connection, instead of giving QuoteCloud a password. Use an account that can see the Opportunities, accounts and contacts your reps quote from, so documents can be linked to them and their status can come back.
Can we use the add-on and Zapier at the same time?
Yes. Business includes Zapier access. Use the add-on to start documents from Opportunities and see their status, and Zaps for other jobs, such as Closed Won on signature with Document Signing Complete, Find Record and Update Record, or Tasks for expired quotes.
More on QuoteCloud and Salesforce
Six use cases, each marked add-on or Zapier, then how to set up both routes and what they cost.
- Create QuoteCloud documents from a Salesforce OpportunitySalesforce Sync add-on: reps start the quote from the Opportunity, and the document stays linked to it.
- See document status on the Salesforce OpportunitySalesforce Sync add-on: delivered, first viewed and signed come back to the linked Opportunity. Or build it with Zaps.
- Move the Opportunity to Closed Won on signatureZapier: when every signer has signed, a Zap updates the Opportunity's stage, amount and close date.
- Create quotes when an Opportunity changes stageZapier: an Opportunity reaches your quoting stage and a draft quote is created from your template, for teams without the add-on.
- Keep Salesforce and QuoteCloud contacts matchedZapier: new Salesforce contacts found or created in QuoteCloud, and new QuoteCloud contacts found or created in Salesforce with their account.
- Follow up expired and lost quotes in SalesforceZapier: an expired quote becomes a Task for the Opportunity owner; a lost one moves the Opportunity to Closed Lost.
- Connect Salesforce to QuoteCloud through Zapier, step by stepSign in to both apps in Zapier, pick a trigger, map the fields, test with sample records and turn the Zap on.
- Salesforce to QuoteCloud field mapEvery field the Zaps on this site pass, which way it goes and where it lands.
- Test and troubleshoot the Salesforce connectionTest with sample records, then fix the usual problems: no Opportunity found, missing fields, echoes, expired PDF links.
- Salesforce Sync add-on or Zapier: which to useThe two routes side by side: plan, where you work, what each one does and when to use both.
- What the Salesforce connection can and can't doThe honest limits of both routes: no ticked options, short-lived PDF links, one way per Zap, plans and fees.
- What the Salesforce connection costsThe plan each route needs, and the per-document fee for documents created through Zapier, worked out for your volume.
