Why data items carry the matching
simPRO looks things up by name and number: a customer's company name, a site's name, a job's order number. So the QuoteCloud templates keep those values in data items, filled by the estimate Zap or typed by your team, and the Zaps that run after signing search on them.
Custom data items are on Essentials and up. Check your trigger's test data shows them before you map them.

Quote lines and job sections
simPRO's Create Service Job takes no lines, sections or cost centres, and no step hands a simPRO quote's lines to QuoteCloud. The signed PDF carries the approved scope.
The client's choices
A Zap never ticks options or chooses content blocks. The client ticks options before signing; the result is in the signed PDF.
A quote's approval
simPRO's Zapier app has no action that updates a quote, so a signature can't mark the simPRO quote approved. Your team does that in simPRO.

Which simPRO fields can fill a QuoteCloud proposal?
Whatever the simPRO trigger or search returns, mapped into Create Document. The recipe on this site uses the quote's ID, name, customer, site and salesperson as the title and data items, and the contact's email for the recipient. Check your Zap's test data for the fields your simPRO set-up returns.
Can a Zap fill the proposal's price table from simPRO?
Only row by row, from values you map. Create Document can add price-table rows with a label, note, price and quantity, but no simPRO step hands over a quote's lines, so most contractors price the proposal's sections in QuoteCloud or map one lump-sum row.
Which field links a QuoteCloud document to a simPRO job?
The job's order number. The tender-to-job Zap writes the document's reference into Create Service Job's Order Number, and later Zaps, such as the variation Zap, find the job with Find Job on that number.
Do changes in simPRO update a signed document?
No. A signed QuoteCloud document stays as it was signed, with its audit trail. Each Zap runs one way, once, when its trigger fires; later edits to the simPRO job don't flow back into the document.
