When your client signs a QuoteCloud document that has a payment set, the payment request appears on the same page. They enter their card details, Stripe processes the payment into your Stripe account, and the document is marked Paid. QuoteCloud doesn't store card details; the signed document keeps its certificate and audit trail.

Why pay inside the document?
Leah Odell reads Weirbrook's hot water quote on her phone after dinner. She picks the heat pump, adds the safe tray, signs, and the deposit to book the install is right under her signature. She pays it there and then.
Every extra step between yes and paid is a chance to stop: a separate invoice, a payment link in another email, a bank transfer to set up tomorrow. Here there are none.

Who sees the card details?
Only Stripe. QuoteCloud asks for the payment and records that it's paid.

The card is entered with Stripe and processed by Stripe, which holds PCI Level 1 certification, the highest level for payment processors.
QuoteCloud doesn't store cards
QuoteCloud marks the document Paid. Documents are protected with 256-bit encryption on Amazon Web Services.

Every signed document carries a certificate of authenticity and an audit trail, beside the payment in its history.
On a phone, the same three steps
Most clients open a quote from an email on their phone. Choosing, signing and paying all happen in the same document, so there's no app to install and no second page to find.
Signing in person works too: Weirbrook's plumbers hand over a tablet for after-hours call-out fees, signed and paid on site.

Where does my client enter their card details?
On the document they've just signed. The payment request appears on the same page the moment they sign, and they enter their card details there. Stripe processes the payment into your connected Stripe account.
Which cards can clients pay with?
Debit and credit cards, processed by Stripe. Which card brands and other payment methods are available depends on Stripe and your country, so check your Stripe account's settings.
Is paying inside a QuoteCloud document secure?
Yes. Card details go to Stripe, which holds PCI Level 1 certification, and QuoteCloud doesn't store them. Documents are protected with 256-bit encryption on Amazon Web Services, and each signed document keeps a certificate of authenticity and an audit trail.
Can a client pay on a phone?
