Your AI assistant, connected to QuoteCloud
Through QuoteCloud's MCP service, the AI assistant your team already uses can be set up to draft quotes, find documents and answer questions about them, while people review, send and sign.

QuoteCloud's MCP service, on the Essentials plan and up, lets an AI assistant that supports the Model Context Protocol work with your QuoteCloud account. Depending on how the connection is set up, it can draft quotes from your templates and product library, find documents and answer status questions. A person reviews and sends every document.

Illustration with sample data: on the left a chat with an AI assistant at a fictional sign and print business, Morrowgate Print & Signs; on the right QuoteCloud's printed carton quote MP-P-3108 for Fernhollow Tea Co.; a thread joins them, marked MCP or In QuoteCloud for each step. Six jobs play in turn. 1, Ask: Rafe pastes Marcus Vale's email asking for 1,200 printed kraft cartons; the assistant can be set up to start a draft from the carton template, with the client and the spec in the draft. 2, Price: it adds the cartons, a cutting forme and pallet delivery from the product library, $2,555.30 including tax, and the draft waits, not sent. 3, Review: Rafe checks the board price and attaches the proof in QuoteCloud. 4, Send: Rafe sends it from QuoteCloud. 5, Sign: Marcus signs and pays the 30% deposit in the quote. 6, Ask again: Rafe asks what's signed this week, and the assistant can be set up to read the document's status and answer.

What is MCP, in plain words?
MCP, the Model Context Protocol, is a standard way for AI applications to connect to other software. QuoteCloud's MCP service is QuoteCloud's side of that connection.
Your AI assistant
The assistant your team already chats with, as long as it supports MCP. It brings the language skills: reading an email, summarising notes, answering in plain words.
MCP connects the two
Instead of pasting information back and forth, the assistant can be given controlled access to selected QuoteCloud capabilities. Because it's a standard, you can change assistants later without rebuilding the connection.
QuoteCloud holds the work
Your templates, product library, approved content and documents stay in QuoteCloud. Drafts land there, and your team reviews, sends and gets them signed there.
How it's set up
What does it look like in a chat?
Rafe, an estimator at a fictional sign and print business, pastes a customer's email into his assistant and asks for a draft. Connected through QuoteCloud's MCP service, the assistant can be set up to find the client, start from the right template and add lines from the product library at Morrowgate's own prices.
The draft waits in QuoteCloud. Rafe checks it and sends it himself. Two days later he asks whether Marcus has opened it, and gets a straight answer.
- Prices come from your product library, not from the assistant
- The draft is a normal QuoteCloud document your team can edit
- Draft quotes from emails and call notes
- Ask about your pipeline and document status

Has Marcus opened the carton quote yet?
-
Assistant
Yes. Marcus Vale opened MP-P-3108 on Tue 10 Nov at 8:15 am and read it for about 6 minutes. It isn't signed yet, and it's valid until Wed 9 Dec.
Illustration with a fictional business. The steps show what an assistant can be set up to do through QuoteCloud's MCP service; they are not a list of QuoteCloud's MCP tools.
After the check, it's an ordinary QuoteCloud quote
Nothing about the document is special because an assistant started it. Rafe adds the dieline proof and sends it; Marcus reads it, signs online and pays the 30% deposit through PayPal, and QuoteCloud tracks each step.
That's the point of connecting the assistant to QuoteCloud instead of asking it to write a quote from memory: the products, prices and wording come from your account.

What can an assistant be set up to do with QuoteCloud?
QuoteCloud's own guidance describes an MCP service that can retrieve proposal data, access approved content, locate products and start defined document actions, depending on how it's set up.

How is MCP different from AI Co-Worker, Zapier and the API?
Three ways to get work into QuoteCloud. Many teams use more than one.
| MCPYour own AI assistant, from outsideEssentials and up | AI Co-WorkerBuilt into the QuoteCloud editorBusiness | Zapier, Make or the APIFixed automationsEssentials and up | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Where it runs | In the AI assistant your team chats with | Inside the document you have open in QuoteCloud | In Zapier, Make or your own system, in the background |
| Who starts it | A person asking in a sentence | A person working in the editor | An event, such as a new deal or a signature |
| Best for | Work that needs judgement as well as data: reading a request, finding the client and the right template | Writing and rewriting content, and turning pasted notes or price lists into blocks | The same steps every time, such as a quote drafted when a deal reaches a stage |
| Review | Drafts for a person to check and send | AI content stays flagged until a person accepts, edits or rejects it | Whatever the automation is built to do, so test it first |

MCP questions, answered
What is QuoteCloud's MCP service?
It's QuoteCloud's side of the Model Context Protocol, a standard way for AI applications to connect to other software. It lets an AI assistant that supports MCP work with your QuoteCloud account, so it can be set up to draft quotes, find documents and answer questions about them instead of you copying information into a chat.
Which AI assistants can connect to QuoteCloud?
Assistants that support the Model Context Protocol. We don't publish a list of tested assistants on this site, so if you want to check the one your team uses, book a demo and ask. Because MCP is a standard, you can change assistants later without rebuilding QuoteCloud's side.
Does the AI send quotes to my clients?
Not in the set-ups on this site. QuoteCloud's own guidance is to give an assistant only what a job needs, for example creating a proposal but not sending it. Here the assistant prepares a draft and a person checks it, then sends it from QuoteCloud.
Which QuoteCloud plan includes MCP?
The Essentials plan and up, from US$39 per user per month, alongside the API, Zapier and Make, the product library and content libraries. AI Co-Worker, the assistant inside the editor, and approval workflow are on the Business plan.
Is MCP the same as AI Co-Worker?
No. AI Co-Worker (Business plan) works inside the QuoteCloud editor on the document you have open, and its content stays flagged until someone accepts it. MCP connects an AI assistant you use outside QuoteCloud, so it can work from requests that arrive elsewhere, such as an email.
Ask in a sentence. Check the draft. Send it yourself.
