QuoteCloud connects to Microsoft OneDrive through QuoteCloud's Zapier app, on the Essentials plan and up. Zaps make a folder for each new client, upload each signed PDF to that folder, save form answers as text files and share the folder with your team. Filing doesn't create documents, so there's no per-document fee. Make works too, as a bring-your-own setup.

Illustration with sample data: on the left a client folder in Microsoft OneDrive, Clients › Okoro, Nadia & Sam; on the right Fenwick Arden's fee proposal FA-2405 in QuoteCloud; a thread joins them (Zapier). Six jobs play in turn, the data riding the thread: 1, Folder: Nadia Okoro is added as a contact; a Zap makes her client folder (New Contact Created then Create Folder). 2, Brief: Nadia answers the project brief form in the proposal; the answers are saved as a text file (Form Submitted on Document then Create Text File). 3, File: Nadia and Sam sign and pay the retainer; the signed PDF is uploaded to the folder (Generate or Fetch Document PDF Link then Upload File). 4, Share: the same Zap shares the project folder with the project team (Document Signing Complete then Create Sharing Invitation). 5, Notify: one more step tells the project channel in Microsoft Teams (Document Signing Complete then Send Channel Message). 6, Keep (what if the proposal expires instead): the unsigned PDF is kept in a Not proceeding folder (Document Expired then Upload File). It ends on the signed proposal with the folder after filing.

Nadia and Sam Okoro sign Fenwick Arden's fee proposal on the evening of 10 March and pay the retainer. At 8:41 pm the signed PDF is in Clients › Okoro, Nadia & Sam, named with the date, reference and title, and Oscar's project team can open it.

The signed copy is filed where the firm already keeps client files, under a name anyone can search, with nobody downloading and saving it.

What goes into OneDrive, and what stays in QuoteCloud?
OneDrive gets your copy, filed your way. QuoteCloud keeps the document and its records.
Into OneDrive
Client and job folders, each signed PDF, form answers as text files, and who the folder is shared with. All of it in the folders and names you choose.

Every completed QuoteCloud document includes a certificate of authenticity and an audit trail, and Document History lists views, edits and signatures.

A Zap never edits a document, ticks options or chooses content. Your team writes and sends; the client chooses, signs and pays.
What it can and can't do
Zapier or Make: how do you want to build it?
Both reach the same QuoteCloud events and actions. The difference is how much you build yourself.
Zapier: QuoteCloud's Zapier app
Ready-made QuoteCloud triggers, actions and searches beside OneDrive's own Zapier app: the recipes on this site. Essentials and up. Filing doesn't create documents, so it carries no per-document fee.
Connect it, step by stepMake: bring your own
Connect Make to QuoteCloud with Make's built-in OAuth, then call QuoteCloud's API or Zapier endpoints from a scenario, beside Make's own OneDrive modules. No ready-made QuoteCloud app on Make: you design each step.

OneDrive questions, answered
How does QuoteCloud connect to Microsoft OneDrive?
Through QuoteCloud's Zapier app, with no code to write. Each Zap starts from a QuoteCloud event, such as Document Signing Complete or New Contact Created, and runs OneDrive steps such as Find Folder, Upload File or Create Folder. Files move one way, from QuoteCloud into OneDrive. Make works too, as a bring-your-own setup.
Can signed PDFs be saved in each client's OneDrive folder automatically?
Yes, with one Zap. Document Signing Complete starts it once every signer has signed. OneDrive's Find Folder finds the client's folder, Generate or Fetch Document PDF Link gets the signed PDF, and OneDrive's Upload File saves it in that folder, named with the date, reference and title.
Where are the certificate of authenticity and the audit trail kept?
With the document in QuoteCloud. Every completed QuoteCloud document includes a certificate of authenticity and an audit trail, and Document History lists views, edits, status changes and signatures. The Zap files a copy of the signed PDF in OneDrive, so your records hold the signed copy as well.
Does filing documents in OneDrive carry a QuoteCloud fee?
No. Filing, folder and sharing Zaps read documents and write files in OneDrive; they don't create documents. The per-document fee of US$2.00, $1.80 or $1.60 by volume is for documents created through Zapier or the API. QuoteCloud's Zapier app is on the Essentials plan and up.
Can we use Make instead of Zapier with OneDrive?
Yes, as a bring-your-own setup. QuoteCloud has no ready-made app on Make: you connect Make to QuoteCloud with Make's built-in OAuth connection, then call QuoteCloud's API or Zapier endpoints from your scenario, beside Make's own OneDrive modules. API access is on Essentials and up.
