Connect Microsoft Teams to QuoteCloud, channel by channel
Post sent, viewed and signed quotes to the channel that owns them, chat the account owner the moment a client opens one, ask approvers in Teams and book the kickoff on signature, all through QuoteCloud's Zapier app.

QuoteCloud connects to Microsoft Teams through QuoteCloud's Zapier app, on the Essentials plan and up. Zaps post sent, first viewed, signed and approval updates to the channel you choose, send one-on-one chats to the quote's owner and, with Outlook, book a kickoff meeting on signature. Make works too, as a bring-your-own setup.

Illustration with sample data: on the left a generic Microsoft Teams channel, Sales › Deal desk, posting about Tessmore Engineering's quote TE-Q-2426 for Quenda Robotics; on the right the QuoteCloud quote, $22,253.00 including tax. A thread joins them (Zapier). Six jobs play in turn: 1, Approve: the quote is over $15,000, so it goes In Review and the channel asks Gareth Lyle (Document Review Requested then Send Channel Message). 2, Approved: Gareth approves in QuoteCloud and the channel hears (Document Review Accepted then Send Channel Message). 3, Sent: Callum Reid sends it and the channel sees the client and value (Document Status Changed then Send Channel Message). 4, Chat: Marcus Oyelaran opens it and Callum gets a one-on-one chat (Recipient First Viewed Document then Create Chat and Send Message). 5, Kick off: both signers sign; Outlook books an online kickoff meeting and the channel hears (Document Signing Complete then Send Channel Message). 6, Follow up (what if the quote expires instead): Callum gets a chat (Document Expired then Create Chat and Send Message). It ends on the signed quote and the kickoff.

Callum Reid's quote for 1,000 QR-220 housings comes to $22,253.00, over Tessmore's $15,000 limit. A minute after he requests approval, the Deal desk channel has it, with Gareth Lyle mentioned, and Gareth approves in QuoteCloud before ten.
Result
Approvers hear about a waiting quote in the channel they watch, so big deals don't sit In Review overnight.

What reaches Teams, and what stays in QuoteCloud?
Teams gets the news you map. The quote, its signatures, payments and approvals stay in QuoteCloud.
What a post carries
Only the fields you map from the QuoteCloud event, such as the document's title, client, total and status, with a mention or importance if you set one.
Posts by teamWho sees it
Your Teams channel and chat membership decides who reads each post, so pick the channel to suit the details you send.
IT admin & permissionsWhat stays in QuoteCloud
Editing, signing, payments and engagement tracking. Approvals happen in QuoteCloud too, unless you build the approve-from-Teams variation.
What it can and can't do
Set up for a Microsoft 365 organisation
Three decisions for whoever looks after Teams, made once before the Zaps go live.
Which account posts
Each Zap posts as the Microsoft account it connects with. A dedicated account, such as Sales automations, keeps posts out of one person's name.
Choose the accountWhich channels it can reach
That account must be a member of the teams and channels the Zaps post to; membership controls who reads them.
Channels and permissionsThe Zapier app in Teams
Bot messages and approval cards need the Zapier app installed from the Teams Store. Plain channel messages and chats don't.
What needs the app
Zapier or Make: how do you want to build it?
There's no direct Teams connection. Both routes reach the same QuoteCloud events.
Zapier: QuoteCloud's Zapier app
Ready-made QuoteCloud triggers and actions beside Microsoft Teams' own Zapier app: the recipes on this site. Essentials and up; posting to Teams creates no documents, so it carries no per-document fee.
Connect it, step by stepMake: bring your own
Connect Make to QuoteCloud with Make's built-in OAuth, then call QuoteCloud's API or Zapier endpoints from a scenario, beside Make's own Microsoft Teams modules. No ready-made QuoteCloud app on Make: you design each step.

Microsoft Teams questions, answered
How does QuoteCloud connect to Microsoft Teams?
Through Zapier, with QuoteCloud's Zapier app on the Essentials plan and up. Each Zap starts from a QuoteCloud event, such as a quote being signed or entering approval, and runs a Microsoft Teams action such as Send Channel Message. Teams that build their own can use Make instead, with QuoteCloud's API.
Is there a direct Microsoft Teams integration?
No. QuoteCloud has no direct Teams connection on any plan. Everything on this site runs through Zapier, or through Make as a bring-your-own setup, so each job is a Zap you build, test and switch on.
Can different teams or regions get their own channel?
Yes. Use one Zap per channel with a filter, or one Zap with Paths by Zapier that sends each quote to its team's channel, based on a value in the QuoteCloud event such as the document's owner. Check your test data for the field you route on.
Can approvers approve a quote from Teams?
They can be asked in Teams, and the approval itself is recorded in QuoteCloud. A Zap on Document Review Requested posts the request; the approver decides in QuoteCloud's Workflow Review. A variation with Teams' approval card and QuoteCloud's Approve or Reject Document Workflow action is on the approvals page.
Does posting to Teams cost anything in QuoteCloud?
No per-document fee. That fee applies only to documents created through Zapier or the API, and these Zaps post messages instead. You need QuoteCloud's Essentials plan or higher for the Zapier app, plus a Zapier plan for your task volume.
