Getting started with QuoteCloud

Stripe fees, plans and refunds

What you pay QuoteCloud, what Stripe charges for each card payment, where Zapier fits, and how a refund works when plans change.

QuoteCloud Payments is included on the Essentials, Business and Enterprise plans. Stripe charges its own fees for each card payment, and they vary by country and provider, so check your Stripe account. Refunds are made in your Stripe Dashboard, which opens from the team's Payment Settings; a Zap on Document Payment Event can log them.

Which QuoteCloud plan do I need for Stripe?

QuoteCloud plans are priced per user per month. Each plan includes everything below it.

  • Essentials, US$39 per user per month

QuoteCloud Payments with Stripe or PayPal, the Zapier app and API, custom data items and the product library.

  • Business, US$59 per user per month

Everything in Essentials, plus approval workflow, scheduled document send, the sales forecast and the reports dashboard.

  • Enterprise

Everything in Business, for larger teams. Payments are included.

What does each card payment cost?

Three parties can charge you. Only one of them charges per payment.

  • Stripe's own fees

Stripe charges its fees on each card payment, under your Stripe account's terms. They vary by country and provider, so check the pricing in your Stripe account.

  • Your QuoteCloud plan

QuoteCloud Payments comes with Essentials and up. You can try it during the free 14-day trial with your own Stripe account.

  • Zapier, only if you use it

Zapier bills for its own plan. After-payment Zaps create no QuoteCloud documents, so the per-document fee for documents made through Zapier or the API doesn't apply to them.

How do refunds work?

Refunds are made in your Stripe Dashboard, which opens from the team's Payment Settings tab in QuoteCloud. Stripe returns the money to the card that paid.

Jordan Pike paid $1,353.00 for two seats at Tallowood Learning Co.'s writing course. When one colleague can't attend, Tallowood refunds $676.50 from its Stripe Dashboard: one seat with its coaching session.

  • Full or partial refunds, under Stripe's own rules and timing.
  • Disputes and payouts are handled in Stripe, too.
  • Document Payment Event fires on a refund, so a Zap can log it.

Fee and refund questions

Which QuoteCloud plans include Stripe payments?

Essentials, Business and Enterprise. QuoteCloud Payments isn't on the Free or Starter plans. You can try it in the free 14-day trial by connecting your own Stripe account.

What does Stripe charge?

Stripe charges its own fees on each card payment, under your Stripe account's terms. The fees vary by country and provider, so check the pricing in your Stripe account rather than relying on a figure here.

How do I refund a client?

From your Stripe Dashboard, which opens from the team's Payment Settings tab in QuoteCloud. Stripe handles full and partial refunds under its own rules. QuoteCloud's Document Payment Event trigger fires on a refund, so a Zap can log it or draft a credit note.

Do after-payment Zaps cost a per-document fee?

No. The per-document fee of US$2.00, $1.80 or $1.60 by volume is for documents created through Zapier or the API. A Zap that starts from a payment and writes to Xero, QuickBooks Online or Slack doesn't create a QuoteCloud document.
