Getting started with QuoteCloud

Multi-site connectivity proposals, priced site by site

Group fibre, SD-WAN, voice and Wi-Fi by location, with monthly and once-off subtotals for every site and one total contract value.

QuoteCloud lets telcos and MSPs build one proposal for a multi-site deal. Each site is a section of the price table with its own monthly and once-off subtotals, repeating items carry the contract term, and the client can change the term, seat counts and options you allow before signing online.

Sample multi-site proposal from a fictional provider, Tallwire Communications, for Saltmarsh Freight Co.: three site cards joined on one SD-WAN network. Head office in Riverside (fibre 1000/1000, SD-WAN edge, 40 hosted voice seats: $1,564 a month and $2,950 once-off), warehouse in Northgate (fibre 500/500, SD-WAN edge, 8 managed Wi-Fi points: $596 a month and $4,750 once-off) and depot in Lakeview (fibre 250/250, small SD-WAN edge: $338 a month and $1,750 once-off).

One proposal, read site by site

A three-site network for a fictional freight company. Each location is its own section of the price table, with its own monthly and once-off subtotal, and the deal comes together at the end.

  1. Open with the network, not a spreadsheet

The cover names the client, the sites and the validity date, and sums up the design in a paragraph. It comes from your own telco template, so every rep's RFQ response looks the same.

Let the buyer change the term, the seats and the options

Multi-site buyers compare terms before they commit. Turn on term and quantity editing and they can try 12, 24 or 36 months, add voice seats or tick 4G failover, and watch every site's subtotal and the total contract value follow.

Try it here: the table is the same proposal, and the numbers are worked out the way the document works them out.

  • Enable Term Editing: 12, 24 or 36 months
  • Enable Quantity Editing on voice seats and mobiles
  • Optional rows the client ticks to add
  • Total contract value = monthly × term + once-off

What a site section can hold

Each location gets the services it needs, every line from your catalogue, monthly and once-off kept apart.

  • Business fibre and access

Speed tiers, fault response and contention in the line note, priced monthly on the contract term.

  • SD-WAN edge

A monthly managed service with the appliance as a once-off row, sized per site from the same SKUs.

  • Hosted voice seats

Per-seat monthly pricing with a quantity the client can change, so head office can add the seats it forgot.

  • Managed Wi-Fi

Access points priced for management each month and as hardware once-off, with the design in the solution notes.

  • Installation and cut-over

Site surveys, cabling and after-hours cut-over as one-off rows, so the once-off total is never a surprise.

  • Options per site or deal

4G failover, premium support or guest Wi-Fi as optional rows: shown, priced and left out until ticked.

What changes for the team quoting it

The value of one multi-site proposal shows up in the jobs around it, from the RFQ to the signed order.

The jobWithout itWith QuoteCloud
Pricing each site A spreadsheet tab per site, copied from the last deal, with prices that may be out of date. Each site is a price-table section built from the catalogue, with its own subtotals.
The cover letter A Word document written around the spreadsheet, rebuilt for every RFQ. One telco template: cover, sites, pricing, rollout and terms in one interactive proposal.
Choosing the term Three versions of the spreadsheet for 12, 24 and 36 months. One proposal with a term switch; the total contract value follows the client's choice.
Discount sign-off An email chain with the margin pasted in. An approval rule on the discount, with costs and margins in hidden columns (Business plan).
Handing over the order Retyping the signed sites and services into the CRM and the provisioning queue. Zapier, Make or the API pass the signed proposal on (from Essentials).

The rollout, site by site, before anyone signs

Multi-site buyers want to know when each location goes live. Show the plan in the proposal: a table of stages per site, and a Gantt chart from site surveys to the last voice cut-over.

Pre-sales update the plan in the same document, and the client's questions about it stay in comments beside it.

  • A rollout table per site: survey, fibre ready, install, cut-over, live
  • A Gantt chart for the whole programme
  • Comments on the document for the buyer's questions

Multi-site proposal questions

Can one QuoteCloud proposal price several sites?

Yes. Add a section heading to the price table for each site and turn on Show Group Subtotal, so every location shows its own monthly and once-off subtotal and the proposal still ends with one total. Shared services such as a mobile fleet or managed support can have sections of their own. Price tables are on Essentials and above.

How do we show monthly and once-off charges for each site?

Use repeating price items for the services, with Term and Monthly Price columns, beside one-off rows for hardware, installation and cut-over. Each site's section subtotals both, and the totals show the monthly recurring charge, the once-off charges and the total contract value over the chosen term.

Can the client compare 12, 24 and 36-month terms?

Yes, if you enable term editing on the price table. The client switches between the terms you offer and the monthly charges, site subtotals and total contract value update on the page. You can also let them change quantities such as voice seats and tick optional upgrades before they sign.

Can we include a network diagram or site map?

You can add images, PDFs and your own drawings to the proposal with QuoteCloud's content blocks, and summarise each site in a table or columns. QuoteCloud does not draw network diagrams for you, so bring the diagram your pre-sales team already makes.

Can the proposal include the rollout plan?

Yes. A table can show each site's stages and planned weeks, and a Gantt chart can show the whole programme from site surveys to go-live. Gantt charts are on the Business plan. Pre-sales can update the plan in the same document, and the client can ask questions in comments.

Do we need to rebuild our network proposal template?

No. During the free trial QuoteCloud converts one of your existing templates for you on the Essentials, Business and Enterprise plans. You can also start from the real Network Installation Proposal or Mobile & Internet Bundle templates and add your own sites and price book.
