Rate schedule questions, answered
Can both our customer's operations and finance people sign the schedule?
Yes. A QuoteCloud document can have several signers, each signing online without an account, and the certificate of authenticity covers every signature. A signing order isn't set: each signer gets their own link.
Can a negotiated discount need approval before it goes out?
Yes, on the Business plan. Approval rules trigger on a discount percentage or a total value, so a schedule below your standard card waits In Review until your approvers agree, and only then can it be sent.
Does QuoteCloud apply the schedule's rates to each consignment?
No. The schedule is the signed agreement. Rating, booking and invoicing consignments stay in your transport management and accounting systems; QuoteCloud sends the schedule and records who signed it and when.
How do we change a rate halfway through the year?
Revise the signed schedule with Revise Last Version, change the rate and send it back for signature. On Business, version history keeps every version, so you can show the customer what changed.
Can we keep our fuel surcharge clause the same in every schedule?
Yes. Save the clause, your claims wording and conditions of carriage in a content library (Essentials and up) and add them to each template. On Business you can lock those blocks so they aren't edited schedule by schedule.
Will QuoteCloud renew the schedule automatically?
No. A schedule ends on its expiry date and nothing renews by itself. The Expiring Soon filter shows which schedules end next, so your team can send next year's rates in good time.
