Getting started with QuoteCloud

Plan tiers and add-ons inside the order form

Starter, Growth or Scale as one choice, the features of each laid out beside it, and add-ons the customer ticks.

QuoteCloud lets a SaaS vendor put plan tiers in the order form as a single-choice group: the customer picks Starter, Growth or Scale and the seat line, monthly amount and total contract value follow. Add-ons sit as optional lines to tick. Bundles and product discounts are on the Business plan.

An engineered isometric drawing of three plan slabs stepping up across a plinth: Starter at $18 a seat (1), Growth at $32 (2) and Scale at $49 (3), each carrying its features as blocks (4): two on Starter, four on Growth and six on Scale. The chosen plan lifts, and an aqua route runs from it to Plinthwork's order form for Tidemark Property Services (5), whose plan line is lit; a circular detail enlarges that line with the plan's name and price. The drawing takes turns through the three plans. A card shows the plan as a single choice with Growth chosen, and the totals card shows 60 Growth seats at $1,920.00 a month plus single sign-on at $250.00: $2,170.00 a month and $66,580.00 over 24 months with set-up.

The same 60 seats under each plan

Lena asked what Scale would cost before choosing Growth. In Plinthwork's order form she doesn't have to ask: she picks the plan and the totals follow.

One choice group, or separate quotes?

Plinthwork's rule of thumb for building order form templates.

  • A choice group

When the customer is choosing between plans for the same seats. One template, one link, and the signed version records the choice.

  • Optional lines

For add-ons on top of any plan: analytics, premium support, a sandbox. The customer ticks what they want.

  • Separate documents

When the deals are genuinely different: a pilot for one team against a full rollout. Send two order forms with their own expiry dates.

  • Bundles

Group products that sell together, such as Scale with premium support, with product bundling (Business).

  • Plan discounts

A discount on the line, with product discounts on Business. Over your limit, the order form waits for approval.

  • Ramps and usage

When the price changes by year or depends on usage, put the calculator in the document: ramp and usage calculators.

The plan wording comes from one place

Plinthwork's product team keeps what each plan includes in the content library. Every order form uses the same blocks, so sales never retypes a feature list.

Put plan tiers in an order form template

Set it up once; every account executive then sends all three plans in one document.

  1. Add the plans to the catalogue

One product per plan, priced per seat per month, with add-ons and services beside them.

  2. Save the plan comparison

Your feature table as a content library block, locked on Business.

  3. Build the choice group

The plans as a single-choice group in the price table, the usual plan chosen by default, seats editable.

  4. Add the add-ons

Optional lines for analytics, premium support and a sandbox.

  5. Send and let them choose

The customer picks the plan, sets seats and term, and signs. The choice is in the signed version.

Plan tier questions, answered

Can a QuoteCloud order form show Starter, Growth and Scale together?

Yes. Put the plans in the price table as a single-choice group. The customer picks one; the plan line, the monthly amount and the total contract value follow, and the signed version records the choice. Price tables are on Essentials and up.

Does QuoteCloud apply tier or volume pricing automatically?

No. Each plan is a line at the price you set, and the customer's choice decides which line counts. If your price changes by seat band or by year, work it out in a Spreadsheet block whose cells set the line's description and unit price, or price the lines yourself.

Can customers add add-ons to the plan they choose?

Yes. Add-ons sit as optional lines the customer ticks, such as analytics, premium support or a sandbox, and quantity editing lets them set the number of seats for a per-seat add-on. Optional lines work with any plan in the choice group.

How do we keep the plan descriptions the same in every order form?

Save your plan comparison as a block in the content library (Essentials and up) and use it in every template. On the Business plan, lock it with content locking so sales can't change the wording. When a plan changes, update the block once.

Can we bundle plans with services or discount a plan?

Product bundling and product discounts are on the Business plan. A discount over the limit you set holds the order form In Review until an approver agrees. Customers change their choice and quantities; they never change your prices.
