Templates for translation and localisation documents
Real QuoteCloud templates to make into your word-count quote, localisation proposal, framework agreement and delivery report.
- 5/5 on G2
- 4.2 on Capterra
- Building QuoteCloud since 2013
QuoteCloud's template library has no translation-specific templates yet, so agencies start from real general ones: Professional or Simple Business Estimate for word-count quotes, Consulting Services Proposal for localisation projects, Consulting Agreement for framework agreements, Project Customer Acceptance Form for delivery reports and an NDA for confidential files.

Three pages from a fictional agency's document set, fanned out and taking turns at the front: the cover of a translation quote for Kestrel Robotics' K2 documentation in French, German and Japanese; an interpreting booking for a two-day Japanese and English supplier audit at Tallis & Grey's Northgate plant with Kenji Morita as interpreter; and a certificate of translation from German into English for Marlowe & Finch LLP, with the translator's statement as a locked block.

An estimate template, turned into a word-count quote
Larkmoor started from the Professional Business Estimate. Tobias kept the cover and the letterhead, then added what a translation quote needs: a Spreadsheet block with Analysis, Pricing and Rates tabs, and a price table with a set-up line and one optional line per language.
Each language line takes its description and unit price from a connected cell on the Pricing tab; the chips in the editor show which. Save it as a template and every quote starts with your rate card already in place: import the counts, tick the languages the client asked for, send.
- Spreadsheet block: your rate card in the template
- One optional line per language
- Connected cells set description and unit price
- Spreadsheet and price tables: Essentials and up

Your certificate wording, locked in the template
A certificate of translation is your agency's own statement. Lay it out once: the statement in your words, a table for the document, languages, translator and client reference, and a signature block for the translator.
On the Business plan, lock the statement so project managers fill in the details but can't change the wording. The translator signs in QuoteCloud, and the signed document carries QuoteCloud's certificate of authenticity for the signature. QuoteCloud doesn't certify the translation.
- Your statement as a locked block (Business)
- Document details filled in per job
- Signed by your translator

Template questions
Does QuoteCloud have translation quote templates?
Not yet. Translation agencies start from general templates in the library, such as the Professional Business Estimate for word-count quotes and the Consulting Services Proposal for localisation projects, then add their rate-card sheet, language lines and terms and save them as their own templates.
Can our rate card be part of the quote template?
Yes. Add a Spreadsheet block with your rates, weights, minimum and rush percentage to the template and connect its cells to the language lines. Every quote made from the template starts with your rate card in place. The Spreadsheet block is on Essentials and up.
Can you convert our existing quote template?
Yes. One template conversion is free during the trial on the Essentials, Business and Enterprise plans. For more templates or a complex rate card, QuoteCloud's onboarding and professional services can help.
Can we stop staff changing our certificate wording?
Yes, on the Business plan. Lock the block with your certificate statement in the template, so project managers can fill in the document details but not change the wording. The translator then signs the certificate in QuoteCloud.
