Build a Zap with QuoteCloud's Zapier app, on Essentials and up. QuoteCloud's New Contact Created trigger starts it, OneDrive's Create Folder makes the client's folder inside your Clients folder, and a second Create Folder makes a year or job subfolder inside it. A filing Zap then puts each signed document there.

Why make the folder when the contact is added?
Ledgerline Advisory keeps every client's statements, returns and letters in OneDrive. Client manager Chloe Tan used to make each new client's folder by hand, and by the time she did, the bakery was already Hearth Lane in one place and HLB Ltd in another.
Now the folder is made the moment the client is added in QuoteCloud, from the name on the contact, so the engagement letter, the welcome pack and the first statements all land in the same place.

A new year folder on re-engagement
When next year's engagement letter is signed, Find Folder, then Create Folder 2027–28 inside the client's folder, then upload the letter there.
A folder per job, not per year

Build the client-folder Zap in four steps
Start with New Contact Created
In Zapier, choose QuoteCloud's New Contact Created trigger and add a test contact at an @example.com address.
Make the client folder
Add OneDrive's Create Folder: the company name as the folder name, your Clients folder as the parent.
Make the subfolder
Add a second Create Folder with the year as the name and the folder from the previous step as the parent.
Test, then turn it on
Check both folders in OneDrive, delete the test ones, then switch the Zap on.
Questions about client folders
Can QuoteCloud create a OneDrive folder for each new client?
Yes, with a Zap. QuoteCloud's New Contact Created trigger starts it when a contact is added, and OneDrive's Create Folder makes a folder named from the contact inside the parent folder you choose. A second Create Folder can make a year or job subfolder inside it.
What if the client already has a folder?
Name the existing folder the way the client is named in QuoteCloud and skip the folder Zap for them. The trigger fires only for contacts added after the Zap is on, so folders your team made by hand before then stay as they are.
Does creating folders carry a QuoteCloud fee?
No. The per-document fee is for documents created through Zapier or the API, and this Zap creates folders in OneDrive, not documents in QuoteCloud. QuoteCloud's Zapier app is on the Essentials plan and up; Zapier and OneDrive have their own plans.
Can the folder be made when the engagement letter is signed instead?
Yes. Start the Zap with Document Signing Complete instead of New Contact Created, then run Create Folder, Generate or Fetch Document PDF Link and Upload File in the same Zap, so the folder and the signed letter arrive together.
