Getting started with QuoteCloud

Connect OneDrive to QuoteCloud, step by step

From the plan check to a signed test document sitting in the right OneDrive folder: the set-up for every recipe on this site, the fields to map, and what to do when a test doesn't land.

You need QuoteCloud on Essentials or higher, a Zapier account and a Microsoft account with OneDrive. In Zapier, connect QuoteCloud and OneDrive, start a Zap with Document Signing Complete, add Find Folder, Generate or Fetch Document PDF Link and Upload File, test it with a signed test document, then turn it on.

How do I connect OneDrive to QuoteCloud?

  1. Check the plan

QuoteCloud's Zapier app is on the Essentials plan and up. You also need a Zapier account and a Microsoft account with OneDrive.

  2. Connect both apps

In Zapier, sign in to QuoteCloud for the trigger and to your Microsoft account when you add OneDrive as an action app.

  3. Pick the trigger and test it

Choose Document Signing Complete and pull in a fully signed test document, so the next steps have real fields to map.

  4. Add the OneDrive steps

Find Folder, Generate or Fetch Document PDF Link, then Upload File, mapped as in the field map below.

  5. Test, then turn it on

Run the Zap with the test document, open the file in OneDrive, then switch the Zap on.

One table for the five recipes on this site. Everything travels one way, from QuoteCloud into OneDrive, Excel or Teams.

All values are sample data. The trigger fields you see depend on your documents: check them in Zapier's test data.

Before you start

  • Settle the folder names

The Zaps find folders by name. Name client folders the way clients are named in QuoteCloud, or let the client-folder Zap make them.

  • Settle the file names

Date, reference, title and an outcome in brackets reads well and sorts by date: 2026-11-05 LG-2417 Purchase of your first home (signed).pdf.

  • Use fictional test data

Sign test documents as @example.com recipients with made-up names, in a test folder, and delete them afterwards.

The test didn't land? The usual problems, and the fix

  • Find Folder found nothing

The folder name doesn't match the client's name in QuoteCloud. Rename the folder, or search on the field that matches.

  • The file is empty or won't open

The PDF link expired before Upload File used it. Keep Generate or Fetch Document PDF Link directly before Upload File, in the same Zap.

  • A half-signed PDF was filed

The trigger is Recipient Signed Document, which fires per signer. Use Document Signing Complete for the signed copy.

  • The file name is blank

The trigger test had no reference or title. Pull in a newer test document that has both, then remap Name.

  • It landed in the wrong folder

Upload File's Folder is fixed instead of mapped. Map the folder from Find Folder or Create Folder.

  • Two files for one document

Two Zaps file the same event. Turn one off, or give each a different trigger.

Can I connect OneDrive through Make instead?

Yes, as a bring-your-own setup. QuoteCloud has no ready-made app on Make. You connect Make to QuoteCloud with Make's built-in OAuth connection, then call QuoteCloud's API or Zapier endpoints from your scenario, such as fetching a document's PDF link, beside Make's own OneDrive modules for the folders and files.

The jobs are the same as the Zaps on this site; you design each step yourself. API access is on the Essentials plan and up. See the document automation API for what the API covers.

Set-up questions

What do I need to connect OneDrive to QuoteCloud?

QuoteCloud on the Essentials plan or higher, a Zapier account and a Microsoft account with OneDrive, plus a folder for the files to land in. You sign in to QuoteCloud and to OneDrive inside Zapier; there's nothing to install in either app.

Why test with a signed test document?

Because Zapier maps fields from real test data. A fully signed test document gives Document Signing Complete its reference, title and client name, so Find Folder and the file name have something to map, and you can open the uploaded PDF to check it.

Do the Zaps change anything in QuoteCloud?

No. The Zaps on this site read QuoteCloud documents and contacts and write folders and files in OneDrive. They don't edit, send or create documents, and nothing comes back from OneDrive into QuoteCloud.

Can I see a list of every field to map?

Yes. The field map on this page lists every field the five recipes use, with where each value comes from and a sample. The fields your trigger shows depend on your documents, so check Zapier's test data as you map.
