Get paid in full the moment they sign
For registrations, call-out fees and small fixed-price jobs, ask for 100% on signing. Your client pays the whole amount by card on the same page, and there's no balance to chase.

Set the document's payment to 100% of the total in QuoteCloud's Payments panel or on the template. When your client signs, they pay the full amount by card through your connected Stripe account, and the document is marked Paid. A Zap on Document Paid can then record the sale in your accounting app.

Two overlapping documents with sample data. Behind, Tallowood Learning Co.'s course registration TL-R-3051 for Jordan Pike: two seats of Business writing essentials with follow-up coaching, $1,353.00 including tax, signed and paid in full by card through Stripe. In front, Weirbrook Plumbing & Gas's emergency call-out authority WP-E-0988: a $214.50 call-out fee signed on the plumber's tablet and paid by card.

When does a full payment on signing make sense?
When the amount is small, fixed and due before you start, a deposit only creates a second payment to chase. Tallowood Learning Co. confirms course seats only once they're paid. Weirbrook Plumbing & Gas charges its after-hours call-out fee before the van leaves the driveway.
Both set the payment to 100% on the template. The client signs, pays the total by card on the same page, and the document goes straight to Paid.
- Seats, bookings and call-outs confirmed by payment, not by a promise to pay.
- Nothing left to invoice afterwards for the amount on the document.
- A Zap on Document Paid can record the sale in your accounting app.

Authorised and paid before the work starts
At 9:47 pm on Sunday, Ben Okoye signs Weirbrook's call-out authority on the plumber's tablet and pays the $214.50 call-out fee by card. Any repair is quoted before it starts.
- A one-line document: the fee and the authority to attend
- Repairs come next, on their own quote
Where paying in full on signing fits
Registrations and seats
Courses, workshops and events where a seat is only yours once it's paid.
Call-out and attendance fees
A fixed fee to attend, signed and paid before the trip; the repair is quoted separately.
Small fixed-price jobs
A service, an inspection or a product with a known price, where a deposit would only add a second payment.
A renewal or a one-off extra
A short document for a renewal fee or an add-on to work already agreed, signed and paid at once.
Bigger jobs: a deposit instead
When the balance depends on the work, ask for a deposit on acceptance.
Into your books
Document Paid can start a sales receipt in QuickBooks Online: after-payment Zaps.
Paid in full: record the sale
Optional. The payment needs no Zap; this one only files it.

Paying in full, answered
Can a client pay the whole quote when they sign?
Yes. Set the payment amount to 100% of the total in the document's Payments panel or on the template. When your client signs, they pay the full amount by card through your connected Stripe account, and the document is marked Paid on your dashboard.
Is there a minimum or maximum amount?
QuoteCloud doesn't state one. The amount is whatever the price table totals, or the fixed figure you set. Stripe's own limits and fees apply to the card payment and vary by country, so check your Stripe account.
What's the difference between Document Paid and Document Part Paid?
They're QuoteCloud's Zapier triggers. Document Paid fires when a document is fully paid, such as a payment of 100%. Document Part Paid fires when it's partially paid, such as a deposit. Neither is needed to take the payment.
Can the client add seats or options before paying?
Yes, where your document allows it. Optional items and quantities the client can change update the total before they sign, and a 100% payment is always the total they agree to.
