Getting started with QuoteCloud

Connect Zoho CRM to QuoteCloud, deal to signature

Draft proposals when a Zoho CRM deal reaches your stage, then bring every view, comment and signature back to the deal, close it won and attach the signed PDF, through QuoteCloud's Zapier app. Teams that build their own can use Make.

QuoteCloud connects to Zoho CRM through QuoteCloud's Zapier app, on the Essentials plan and up, or through Make as a bring-your-own setup. A Zap can draft a proposal when a deal reaches a stage or a lead converts, then update the deal, add tasks and attach the signed PDF as the buyer views and signs. Each Zap runs one way.

Illustration with sample data: on the left a generic Zoho CRM deal record, Bramblewood Homewares · Interstate lanes; on the right QuoteCloud's contract rate proposal WF-Q-4870; a thread joins them (Zapier). Six jobs play in turn, the data riding the thread: 1, Create: a blueprint transition moves the deal to Proposal/Price Quote and a Zap drafts WF-Q-4870 (Updated Module Entry then Create Document). 2, Track: Sophie Lindqvist opens the proposal and the deal's QuoteCloud status turns Viewed (Recipient First Viewed Document then Update Module Entry). 3, Close: Sophie signs and the deal moves to Closed Won (Document Signing Complete then Update Module Entry). 4, File: the same Zap attaches the signed PDF to the deal (Generate or Fetch Document PDF Link then Add Attachment). 5, Notify: one more step tells the team in Slack or Microsoft Teams (Document Signing Complete then Send Channel Message). 6, Follow up (what if the proposal expires instead): Ines Okoye gets a task (Document Expired then Create Module Entry). It ends on the signed proposal with the deal closed won.

What can QuoteCloud do with Zoho CRM?

Six jobs across the life of a lead, a deal and your products, each one a Zap. Each links to the recipe that builds it, with the exact Zapier steps.

  1. First proposal

Convert a lead and its new deal drafts the first proposal from your template. A signature can convert a lead, too.

    • New Module Entry
    • Create Document
  2. Stages

A deal reaching your proposal stage, by hand or through a blueprint transition, drafts the document. Its status comes back.

    • Updated Module Entry
    • Create Document
  3. The buyer

Packages, options, comments, eSignature and the deposit in one proposal, with the signed amount written back to the deal.

    • Document Signing Complete
    • Update Module Entry
  4. Signers

Each signature updates the deal and gives the owner a task to chase the next signer; the last closes it won.

    • Recipient Signed Document
    • Create Module Entry
  5. Activity

First views, comments, expiry and lost proposals become deal fields and follow-up tasks.

    • Recipient First Viewed Document
    • Update Module Entry
  6. Products

New Zoho CRM products join QuoteCloud's product library; QuoteCloud product changes go back to Zoho.

    • New Module Entry
    • Find or Create Product

Every Zap runs one way, from its trigger to its steps, so two directions means two Zaps. The same jobs can be built in Make, bring your own. See what it can and can't do.

What moves between Zoho CRM and QuoteCloud?

Deal, lead and product details go in; document news comes back. The buyer's choices stay with the buyer.

  • From Zoho CRM into QuoteCloud

A deal's name, ID, owner, account, contact and custom fields, mapped into the template's data items and the recipient; new Zoho products into the product library.

  • From QuoteCloud back to Zoho CRM

  • What stays with people

A Zap never ticks options or chooses content blocks: the buyer chooses the package and extras, and your rep checks the draft before it's sent.

    What the buyer gets

Zapier or Make: how do you want to build it?

There's no native Zoho CRM connection on any plan. Both routes reach the same QuoteCloud events and actions.

  • Zapier: QuoteCloud's Zapier app

Ready-made QuoteCloud triggers, actions and searches beside Zoho CRM's own Zapier app: the recipes on this site. Essentials and up; documents a Zap creates carry US$2.00, $1.80 or $1.60 each by volume.

    Connect it, step by step
  • Make: bring your own

Connect Make to QuoteCloud with Make's built-in OAuth, then call QuoteCloud's API or Zapier endpoints from a scenario, beside Make's own Zoho CRM modules. No ready-made QuoteCloud app on Make: you design each step.

Zoho CRM questions, answered

How does QuoteCloud connect to Zoho CRM?

Through QuoteCloud's Zapier app, with no code to write. Each Zap starts from one event, such as a Zoho CRM deal being updated or a QuoteCloud document being signed, and runs steps in the other app. A Zap runs one way, so you build one Zap for each job, such as drafting proposals or closing deals won.

Is there a native Zoho CRM integration?

No. QuoteCloud has no native Zoho CRM connection on any plan. Zoho CRM connects through Zapier, with QuoteCloud's Zapier app on Essentials and up, or through Make as a bring-your-own setup with QuoteCloud's API. Every recipe on this site is a Zap you build.

Which QuoteCloud plan do I need for Zoho CRM?

Essentials or higher: Zapier and API access are on QuoteCloud's Essentials plan and up. Documents created through Zapier or the API carry a per-document fee of US$2.00, $1.80 or $1.60 by volume. Zaps that only update Zoho CRM, such as closing a deal won or adding a task, don't create documents.

Can the Zoho CRM deal close when the proposal is signed?

Yes. QuoteCloud's Document Signing Complete trigger fires once every signer has signed. The Zap finds the deal with Zoho CRM's Find Module Entry and runs Update Module Entry to set the stage, then can attach the signed PDF with Generate or Fetch Document PDF Link and Add Attachment.

Can we use Make instead of Zapier with Zoho CRM?

Yes, as a bring-your-own setup. QuoteCloud has no ready-made app on Make: you connect Make to QuoteCloud with Make's built-in OAuth connection, then call QuoteCloud's API or Zapier endpoints from your scenario, beside Make's own Zoho CRM modules. API access is on Essentials and up.
