Getting started with QuoteCloud

HR service tiers clients choose in the proposal

Payroll only, payroll with HR advice, or a full HR partner: tiers side by side, one choice, and the monthly price follows.

QuoteCloud lets an outsourced HR provider set out its service tiers as a single-choice packages block inside the proposal. The client compares them, picks one, and the monthly line and totals follow; the set-up fee is paid when they sign. Tiers are your own services, and you invoice the monthly charges.

Payroll only carries a payslip stack; Payroll + HR advice adds an advice panel; Full HR partner adds a policy binder and a small building for the on-site day. Beside it, the choice as the client sees it in the proposal: Payroll only $1,766.40, Payroll + HR advice $2,153.40 and Full HR partner $2,690.00 a month plus tax, one choice, with the chosen level's inclusions listed.

A comparison grid for clients who read across

Some clients want the inclusions side by side before they look at the price. A comparison grid sets out what each service level includes, row by row, with one choice per level.

Use it beside the packages or instead of them. Either way the client makes one choice in the document, and the signed version records exactly which level they bought.

  • One choice per proposal
  • Inclusions row by row
  • Your recommendation marked, not a statistic

How HR providers set out tiers that sell

The service levels are yours. These are the choices that make them easy to compare in a QuoteCloud proposal.

  • Keep payroll as the base

Every level includes every pay run, so the client compares what's added, not what's missing.

  • Price for their headcount

Work each level out for the client's headcount in your pricing sheet, so the levels read as monthly figures.

  • Mark one recommendation

Flag the level you'd recommend for this client. It's your advice, not a popularity figure.

  • Set-up fee kept apart

A one-off set-up line, paid on signing whichever level they choose.

  • Extras as add-ons

HR hours and workshops as optional rows on top of the level, not as a fourth tier.

  • Review headcount quarterly

Say how the monthly charge follows headcount, and agree changes in writing.

HR hours on top of the level they chose

A retainer rarely covers a restructure or a new-manager workshop. Offer extra HR advice hours and an on-site day as optional monthly rows, and project hours and workshops as one-off blocks the client ticks.

Project blocks are paid when the client signs. The monthly add-ons are shown in the document and invoiced by you under the agreement.

  • Optional monthly and one-off rows
  • Project blocks paid on signing
  • Monthly add-ons invoiced by you, never billed by QuoteCloud

Build a tiered HR proposal template

Once in the template; every client after that chooses in the document.

  1. Name the levels

Payroll only, payroll with HR advice, full HR partner: whatever your service levels are.

  2. List the inclusions

Add a packages block with each level's price and three or four inclusions.

  3. Link the price line

Add a package line to the price table so the chosen level sets the monthly line.

  4. Add the set-up fee

Add the one-off set-up line and take it as the payment on signing.

  5. Send and sign

The client chooses a level, ticks any add-ons, signs and pays the set-up fee.

HR service tier questions, answered

Can clients choose between our HR service tiers in the proposal?

Yes. Set out your service levels as a packages block: a single-choice option group inside the proposal. The client picks one, the monthly line in the price table follows, and the signed document records the level they chose.

Are the tiers QuoteCloud plans?

No. The tiers are your own services, with your names, inclusions and prices. QuoteCloud is the proposal they're presented in. QuoteCloud's own plans are separate and priced per user.

Can we offer extra HR hours as add-ons?

Yes. Put extra advice hours, on-site days, project hour blocks or workshops in an optional group of the price table. The client ticks the ones they want; one-off blocks can be paid on signing.

Who bills the monthly retainer?

You do. Monthly charges are shown in the proposal and agreement as repeating price items so the client sees the monthly total, and your team invoices them, for example from Xero or QuickBooks. QuoteCloud collects the payment on signing, such as the set-up fee.

Can we show a comparison grid instead of cards?

Yes. A comparison grid sets out each level's inclusions row by row with one choice per level. Use it on its own or beside the packages, whichever your clients read best.
