Framework agreements that carry the client's rate card
Rates per language pair and service level, weights, minimums and turnaround as a schedule both sides sign, with the expiry date in view.

A framework agreement in QuoteCloud sets out the rates and terms for a client's future jobs: a rate-card schedule by language pair and service level, match-band weights, minimum and rush terms, and clauses on orders and confidentiality. Both sides sign online; the expiry date shows under Expiring Soon. Nothing renews by itself.

Four sheets from a fictional agency's framework agreement with Fernhill Outdoor Co., LM-FA-2027, behind index tabs and taking turns at the front: the cover of the translation framework agreement and rate card; Schedule 1, the rate card per weighted word for English into French, German, Italian, Spanish (Spain) and Dutch at three service levels, with match-band weights, a $90 minimum per language per order and a 25% rush surcharge; the agreement terms from Tue 1 Dec 2026 to Thu 30 Nov 2028, 24 months, on orders, translation memory, confidentiality and expiry; and the signature page, signed by Ruth Calloway, head of e-commerce, and Daniel Osei-Bonsu, finance director.

Fernhill's rates for the next two years, in one signed document
Sam builds the agreement from Larkmoor's framework template: the rate-card schedule, the terms that govern every later order, and a signature block for both of Fernhill's signers.

Every later quote starts from the agreed rates
The schedule only helps if project managers quote from it. Larkmoor's word-count quote template carries a Spreadsheet block whose Rates tab holds the rate card; the Pricing tab reads it and connected cells set each language line's description and unit price.
For Fernhill, Sam saves a copy of that template with Schedule 1's rates, weights, minimum and rush percentage typed into its Rates tab. Any project manager who quotes Fernhill starts from that copy, so the price matches the signed agreement without anyone looking it up. The sheet shown is Larkmoor's standard rate card.

- One quote template per framework client
- Change a rate once, every connected line follows

Every agreement ending soon, on one list
Give each agreement its expiry date and the Expiring Soon filter lists what ends next, with the days left. Sam sees Holloway Pharma's agreement ends in 11 days and Vantage Games in 21, long before either becomes a surprise.
When several clients' agreements end around the same time, a new-rates offer can go to all of them at once with bulk send: one template, a personalised copy each, and each client signs their own.

What keeps a framework agreement in order
The QuoteCloud features an account team leans on between signing and the next agreement.
Locked clauses
Lock the confidentiality and translation-memory clauses in your template so only the rates and dates change (Business).
Version history
Each revision of the agreement is kept, so you can see what was signed and when (Business).
Every signer
Head of e-commerce and finance director each sign in the same document, with no account needed.
Orders stay separate
Each job is its own word-count quote, priced from the client's rates and signed before work starts.
Framework agreement questions
What is a translation framework agreement?
An agreement that sets the rates and terms for a client's future jobs over a period, often two or three years: rates per language pair and service level, match-band weights, minimum and rush charges, turnaround, and clauses on orders, confidentiality and translation memory. Each job is then quoted and signed separately under it.
Can both of the client's signers sign the agreement?
Yes. Add every signer to the document; each signs online without a QuoteCloud account, and you see who has signed. The signed agreement carries QuoteCloud's certificate of authenticity and audit trail.
How do we know when an agreement is about to end?
Give the agreement an expiry date. As it gets close, it appears under the Expiring Soon filter with the days left, so your account team can prepare a new agreement in time. Nothing renews or changes price by itself.
How do project managers quote at the agreed rates?
Keep a copy of your word-count quote template for the client, with their agreed rates, weights, minimum and rush percentage in the Rates tab of its Spreadsheet block. Connected cells price each language line, so every quote from that template follows the agreement.
Can we send new-rate offers to several clients at once?
Yes, with bulk send on Essentials and up: one template sent as a personalised copy to each client, who signs their own. Bulk send has volume-based costs. Each copy keeps its own expiry date and signatures.
