What QuoteCloud with Google Calendar can and can't do
Plain answers on what the Zaps do, where they stop, and which details we haven't confirmed, so you can plan your calendar around facts.

Through Zapier, QuoteCloud events can create, update, invite to and delete Google Calendar events, and a Google Calendar meeting can create a draft document. Each Zap runs one way. Dates must come from a real field. The calendar doesn't change a sent document, and a Zap never ticks options or chooses content blocks.

What can the Google Calendar Zaps do?
Book work on signature
Document Signing Complete → Create Detailed Event, on a date from a form answer or data item, with the client as attendee.
See the recipeHold, confirm, release
Pencil a date when a proposal is sent, update it on signature with Find Events and Update Event, delete it on expiry or loss.
See the recipesBook follow-ups
Recipient First Viewed Document → a call next morning; Document Expired → a call to revise.
See the recipesRemind before expiry
For quotes a Zap sends with Send Document: the Zap sets Document Expires At and adds a reminder before it.
See the recipeDraft from meetings
Event Ended (with a search term) → Find or Create Contact → Create Document from a template, with the meeting in data items.

Any of these Zaps can add a Slack or Microsoft Teams message as a last step.

Zapier or Make: which route suits you?
Zapier
QuoteCloud's Zapier app has ready-made triggers, actions and searches, used beside Google Calendar's own Zapier app, plus Formatter, Filter, Paths and Delay by Zapier for dates and rules. Essentials and up; documents a Zap creates carry US$2.00, $1.80 or $1.60 each, by volume.
Connect it, step by stepMake
Bring your own: Make's built-in OAuth connection to QuoteCloud, then QuoteCloud's API or Zapier endpoints called from your scenario, beside Make's own Google Calendar steps. No ready-made QuoteCloud app on Make. API access is on Essentials and up.
What each route costs
Where does it stop?
One way per Zap
Each Zap runs from its trigger to its steps. Moving or deleting an event doesn't change a QuoteCloud document; that would be a separate Zap, and there's no two-way sync.
Dates need a field
A Zap can't guess a date. It needs a form answer, a data item, the trigger's time or a date the Zap set itself.
No 'expiring in 2 days' search
List Documents filters by status, owner, source and created or changed dates, not by expiry, so a daily Schedule by Zapier run can't ask for quotes about to expire.
Delays up to 30 days
Delay by Zapier holds a task for up to 30 days, so a 'still unsigned?' check suits validity periods shorter than a month.
Edit access to the calendar
The connected Google account needs edit access to every calendar a Zap writes to.
Documents stay as built
A Zap never ticks options or chooses content blocks; drafts come from your template, and the client ticks options.

What we haven't confirmed yet
These details change how you build a Zap, so this site doesn't rely on them. Check them in your own Zap's test data before you depend on them.
- Whether QuoteCloud's triggers carry custom data items such as Event date. Form answers are covered: Find Document with Detail Level Full loads forms.
- Whether QuoteCloud's triggers pass a document's expiry date. The reminder recipe uses an expiry the Zap set itself.
- Whether Document Status Changed lists Sent among its statuses in Zapier.
- The names of Make's Google Calendar modules, and whether documents a Make scenario creates carry the per-document fee.
Questions about the limits
Is there a native Google Calendar integration in QuoteCloud?
No. QuoteCloud connects to Google Calendar through QuoteCloud's Zapier app, on the Essentials plan and up, or through Make as a bring-your-own setup with QuoteCloud's API. Every job on this site is a Zap you build, test and switch on yourself, with no code.
Does it keep QuoteCloud and Google Calendar in two-way sync?
No. Each Zap runs one way, from its trigger to its steps. QuoteCloud events can create or change calendar events, and a calendar event can create a new document, but moving or deleting an event doesn't change an existing document.
Can a Zap remind me about every quote before it expires?
Only quotes a Zap sends, because that Zap sets the expiry with Send Document and can reuse it. For quotes your team sends by hand, use QuoteCloud's Expiring Soon smart filter on the dashboard, or book a call after Document Expired.
Can a calendar booking fill a quote's price table?
No. A calendar event carries a title, times, a location, attendees and a description, which map into data items and the recipient. The price table, options and content blocks come from your template; Create Document can add rows you map, but an event has no line items.
More on QuoteCloud and Google Calendar
Four use cases with the exact Zapier steps, then how to connect, where the dates come from and what it costs.
- Book the work when the quote is signedWhen every signer has signed, a Zap books the install on the date the client chose, with the client invited.
- Hold, confirm and release event datesA sent proposal pencils the date, a signature confirms it and books the tasting, an expired one releases it.
- Follow-up calls and expiry remindersA first view books a call for the next morning; a quote the Zap sends gets a reminder two days before it expires.
- Draft proposals from calendar meetingsWhen a site visit or discovery call ends in Google Calendar, a Zap drafts the proposal with the meeting's details.
- Connect Google Calendar to QuoteCloud, step by stepCheck the plan, connect both apps in Zapier, build and test the first Zap, or build it in Make.
- Where the dates come from, and the field mapData items, form answers and trigger times, shifted with Formatter, and every field the Zaps map.
- What the Google Calendar connection costsEssentials and up for Zapier; only the meeting-to-proposal Zap creates documents that carry a fee.
