Microsoft Teams alerts for your Dynamics 365 quotes
In a Microsoft shop, people answer Teams before email. Add one step to the Zaps that update Dynamics 365 and the account team hears about first views and signatures in their channel, and the owner hears about an expiring quote in a chat.

Add Microsoft Teams' Send Channel Message or Send Chat Message to a Zap with QuoteCloud's Zapier app, on Essentials and up. Recipient First Viewed Document and Document Signing Complete post to the sales channel; Document Expired messages the owner. The same Zaps can update the Dynamics 365 opportunity first.

Why Teams, when the status is already in Dynamics?
A column on the opportunity is right for views and reports. A first view is different: it's the best moment to call, and it's worth nothing a day later.
Northlatch Security's account managers sit in a Teams channel called Wins and quotes. When Rowan Pike opened NL-M-3138 on Monday afternoon, the post was there within a minute, and Tobias Wren booked the onboarding call for the next morning.
- Channel posts for the team: first views and signatures.
- A chat to the owner for things only they act on: an expiring quote.
- The same Zap can update the opportunity before it posts.
How do I post a first view in a Teams channel?
Add the Teams step to the Viewed Zap, after the opportunity is updated.

Rowan opens NL-M-3138 at 2:14 on Monday. At 2:15 the opportunity says Viewed and the Wins and quotes channel has the post, with Tobias's name and the value on it.
Result
The right people hear about a first view while it still matters, and the opportunity agrees.

Every Teams alert here can be built in Make instead, bring your own: Make's built-in OAuth connection to QuoteCloud and its API, beside Make's own Microsoft Teams modules.
When Oakhurst Health Partners let a remediation quote run past its date, the opportunity said Expired and Tobias had a chat message asking whether to revise it or close the opportunity.
Result
Expired quotes get a decision instead of sitting in the pipeline.

Which alerts, where?
Fewer, better alerts get read. A pattern that works for most account teams:
First viewed → the team channel
Recipient First Viewed Document, with the owner and value, so a colleague can cover if the owner is out.
Signed by all → the team channel
Document Signing Complete: the moment to celebrate and to start onboarding.
Expired → the owner's chat
Document Expired: a decision only the owner makes, so it shouldn't fill the channel.
Sent for approval → approvers
Document Review Requested, if your test shows it fires on approval requests: approvals.
Each signer → the owner
Recipient Signed Document, for buyers with several signers: several signers.
Paid → finance
Document Paid, if the quote takes a deposit through QuoteCloud Payments (Essentials and up).

QuoteCloud's Zapier app is on the Essentials plan and up. Start a free 14-day trial and post your first test alert to a Teams channel.
Add Teams alerts in four steps
- 1
Connect Teams in Zapier
Sign in to Microsoft Teams in Zapier with the account the posts should come from; see the IT review.
- 2
Open a status Zap
Start from the Viewed or Signed Zap that already finds and updates the opportunity.
- 3
Add Send Channel Message
Pick the team and channel, then write the message with the reference, title, owner and value.
- 4
Test it in a test channel
Point it at a test channel first, open a test quote, check the post, then switch to the real channel.
Questions about Teams alerts
Can QuoteCloud post to Microsoft Teams?
Yes, through Zapier or Make. With QuoteCloud's Zapier app, on Essentials and up, any QuoteCloud trigger, such as Recipient First Viewed Document or Document Signing Complete, can run Microsoft Teams' Send Channel Message or Send Chat Message.
Can one Zap update Dynamics 365 and post to Teams?
Yes. Add the Teams step after Find Opportunity and Update Opportunity, and the message can include the owner and value the search found. One Zap, one trigger, several steps; each step uses a task on your Zapier plan.
Which account do the Teams posts come from?
From the Microsoft account you connect to Teams in Zapier. Many teams use a dedicated integration account, so posts don't look like they came from a person and nothing breaks when someone leaves.
Do Teams alerts cost anything in QuoteCloud?
No. They read QuoteCloud events and post messages; they don't create documents, so the per-document fee doesn't apply.
