Write a statement of work clients sign online
Put scope, deliverables, exclusions, a Gantt timeline and the price in one statement of work, and have client and supplier sign it online.
Statements of work, defined
A statement of work (SOW) defines a project's objectives, scope, deliverables, timeline, acceptance criteria and price. In QuoteCloud you write it from a SOW template, add a Gantt chart for milestones and a price table for fees, lock standard assumptions and exclusions, then assign eSignature blocks so the client and your business both sign online.

How to write a statement of work
5 steps, start to signature.
-
1
Step 1: State objectives and scope
Start from a SOW template and describe the purpose, what is in scope and, just as clearly, what is out of scope.
-
2
Step 2: List deliverables and acceptance
Name each deliverable, its format and how the client will accept it, such as written sign-off within five business days.
-
3
Step 3: Plot the timeline
Add a Gantt chart block with phases, tasks and milestones, so the schedule sits inside the SOW rather than in a separate file.
-
4
Step 4: Price the work
Use a price table with a section per phase, one-off fees and repeating items such as a monthly retainer, plus payment terms.
-
5
Step 5: Collect both signatures
Assign an eSignature block to the client and one to your business. Each signs online, and the signed SOW carries a full audit trail.
