When the drafter issues a new revision
Keep the plan, the price and the programme in step without starting the estimate again.
Swap the plan page
Replace the PDF page or image with the new revision, so the sheet the owners see is current.
Adjust the price lines
Change the quantities and rates the revision affects; subtotals, tax and the deposit recalculate.
Move the programme
Change the start and length of any stage that moves in the Gantt chart (Business plan).
Revise Last Version
A new revision marked Revised is created; the earlier one stays in the document history (Business).
Send it for signature
The owners open one link and read the plan, photos, programme and price of the same revision.
Plans and schedule questions
Can I put building plans in a QuoteCloud estimate?
Yes. Add drawings as PDF pages or images in the estimate, beside the price, with the sheet number and revision on the page. Image blocks are on Starter and above. QuoteCloud does not read or measure the plans: there is no quantity take-off or CAD import, so the quantities come from your own estimate.
Can I add a Gantt chart build schedule to a quote?
Yes, on the Business plan. A Gantt chart block shows each stage with its start, duration and dependencies, and milestones such as practical completion. It is part of the document the client reads and signs, not live project management software, so you update it by revising the document.
Can I mark up site photos in an estimate?
Yes. Add site photos in a gallery or image block and use the built-in image editor to draw numbered marks and notes on them, for example where a wall comes out or a door goes in. Image blocks and the image editor are on Starter and above.
Can I export the estimate as a PDF for the bank?
Yes. Export the whole estimate, with its plans, photos, schedule and price, as a PDF on Starter and above. The owners can also open the live document from a link on any device, and sign it there.
What happens to the plans when the price changes?
Use Revise Last Version: it creates a new revision marked Revised and keeps the earlier one in the document history, so the plan, photos, programme and price change together in one document. Version history is on the Business plan.
