Four documents from one fictional practice's template set, filed behind index tabs that take turns at the front: an engagement letter's scope, a fixed-fee proposal's three monthly packages, a fund engagement's annual fixed fees and a grant application's project summary.

Engagement terms nobody edits by accident

Your terms of engagement are the part of every letter that shouldn't change between clients. Save each clause as a company block and lock it: it can be dragged into any letter, but not edited there.

Keep internal guidance in the template too, such as when to add the fringe benefits add-on, in a section marked Hide from Recipient. It is shaded in the editor and never shown to the client.

  • Locked company blocks for responsibilities, liability and privacy
  • Only admins or permitted roles unlock them
  • Hide from Recipient on sections and containers

Template questions, answered

Are there accounting templates in QuoteCloud?

Yes. The template library includes an accounting engagement letter, accounting services proposals, an accounting services agreement, accounting and bookkeeping contracts, an audit proposal, grant, budget and funding proposals, a financial consulting agreement and a new client registration form. Open one, add your branding, fees and terms, and save it as your own template.

Can we use our own engagement letter instead?

Yes. Build your letter in the editor, or send it to QuoteCloud: during the trial QuoteCloud converts one existing template for free on the Essentials, Business and Enterprise plans. Paid onboarding and professional services are available if you want more of your documents converted.

How do we keep the same terms in every engagement letter?

Save each clause, such as responsibilities, limitation of liability and privacy, as a company block in the content library and use it in every template. On the Business plan you can lock those blocks so they can be added to a letter but not edited there; only admins or permitted roles unlock them.

Can staff have different rights over templates?

Yes. Custom roles, from the Essentials plan, let you choose who can create, change or delete content library items and who can only use them. Combined with locked blocks on Business, a client manager can prepare and send a letter without rewriting your standard terms.

Is there a fund or R&D tax credit template?

Not as a dedicated template. Start from the Accounting Engagement Letter or Audit Proposal template for fund work, and from your own engagement letter for R&D claims, then add the wording, fees and signature blocks that service needs and save it as its own template.

Which plan includes templates?

Templates, the content library, price tables and custom roles are on the Essentials plan at US$39 per user per month and above. Content locking is on Business at US$59. You can try Essentials or Business free for 14 days with no credit card.
