Getting started with QuoteCloud

4WD, caravan and auto-electrical fit-outs, packaged and signed

Good, better and best fit-out packages, extras the customer ticks, a fitting plan and a deposit for parts on signing.

Fit-out specialists and auto electricians use QuoteCloud to send fit-out proposals: packages as a single choice, extras such as drawers or a UHF radio as optional rows, parts and fitting labour separate, a fitting plan as a Gantt chart (Business) and a deposit for parts paid through Stripe or PayPal when both owners sign.

A sample 4WD touring fit-out from a fictional workshop, Kettlebrook Auto Service, for Callum and Jo Pryor, drawn on the side view of a large 4WD wagon. Three packages take turns: Tourer, $8,960 in parts, with a dual battery, LED light bar, recovery points, roof rack and solar panel fitted; Expedition, $14,200, which adds a long-range fuel tank, an air compressor and a suspension lift; and Weekender, $4,850, with the dual battery, light bar and recovery kit only. The parts list beside the car ticks what each package includes, with 40% paid on signing so the parts can be ordered.

Three kinds of fit-out, three proposals

Touring fit-outs, auto-electrical jobs and caravans before a long trip: each from its own template. Sample documents from a fictional workshop.

The pre-trip service as labour and parts, then the bearings, brake magnets and a 12 V check recommended for corrugated roads. No deposit on this one: the advisor left it off, and Ron approved it online.

Change the package, tick the extras, see the parts deposit

Choose Expedition and the package line, the total and the 40% deposit for parts change before Callum and Jo sign. Untick the drawers, add the awning: everything recalculates in the proposal.

Keep each package and extra as an item in your price book with its cost, so the margin on a $15,000 fit-out stays on your side of the screen.

A fitting plan, and both owners' signatures

A Gantt chart in the proposal shows parts arriving, the wiring and solar, the rack and light bar, the drawers if they're ticked, and the handover day. It's your plan, written in the proposal; QuoteCloud doesn't book the bay.

Callum and Jo each signed with their own signature block, and the deposit for parts was paid through Stripe. The proposal records who signed and when.

  • Gantt chart with a handover milestone

What a fit-out workshop sets up in QuoteCloud

The value comes from setting the big-ticket work up once: the packages, the extras, the wording and the deposit.

  • Packages in the price book

Weekender, Tourer and Expedition as catalogue items with their parts cost, updated from a CSV when supplier prices move.

  • Extras as saved blocks

Drawers, awnings, radios and compressors with their photos and wording, saved in the content library and dropped into any proposal.

  • A fitting plan template

A Gantt chart with your usual stages, adjusted per job, so customers know when they get the car back (Business).

  • Parts paid before ordering

A percentage or fixed deposit on the document, paid by card or PayPal once the proposal is signed.

  • Both owners sign

Each signer gets their own signature block; the proposal shows who has signed and who hasn't yet.

  • Your wording, not a certificate

Warranty, wiring and handover notes in your own words. QuoteCloud doesn't certify work or generate wiring diagrams.

Fit-out quote questions

Can a fit-out quote offer good, better and best packages?

Yes. Put the packages in a single-choice group with their contents and prices, and mark the one you recommend. The chosen package sets the package line in the price table, and extras such as drawers or a UHF radio can be optional rows. Price tables are on Essentials and above.

Can we take a deposit for parts before ordering?

Yes, from the Essentials plan. Set a deposit as a percentage of the total or a fixed amount on the document, and the customer pays through Stripe or PayPal straight after signing. Balances are invoiced by your workshop as usual.

Can both owners sign the proposal?

Yes. Add each person as a signer and each gets their own signature block. The document shows who has signed and when, with a certificate of authenticity and an audit trail. eSignatures are on every plan.

Can we show a fitting plan?

Yes, on the Business plan, with a Gantt chart block: parts arriving, each stage of the fit-out and a handover milestone. It's your plan, written in the proposal; QuoteCloud doesn't book workshop time.

Does QuoteCloud handle compliance certificates or wiring diagrams?

No. QuoteCloud doesn't produce wiring diagrams, engineering sign-offs, gas or electrical certificates, or check supplier stock. You can include your own documents as PDF or image blocks, and your warranty and handover notes in your own words.
