In QuoteCloud the customer signs the quote and pays straight away on the same page: a deposit set as a percentage of the total or a fixed amount, or the full price, by card through Stripe or by PayPal. The deposit is a percentage of the quote, so it moves with every choice the customer makes. Try it: tick the water hammer arrestor or the longer warranty, and the deposit below changes with the total.

QuoteCloud takes the deposit, or the full amount, at the moment the quote is signed. It does not run instalments, send payment reminders or bill the balance when the job is done.
Invoice the balance from your accounting software as you do today. On the Business plan the signed quote can reach Xero or QuickBooks through the native integrations, or through Zapier on Essentials.

Can customers pay a deposit when they sign a quote?
Yes, from the Essentials plan. Connect Stripe or PayPal, then set the payment on the quote as a percentage of the total, a fixed amount or the full price. Straight after signing, the customer pays on the same page and the quote is marked Paid. Gateway availability and fees vary by region and provider.
Can the customer pay on my phone on site?
Yes. Open the quote's signing view on your phone or tablet and hand it over; the customer signs and then pays by card or PayPal on the same page. Or send the link and they sign and pay on their own phone, with no account needed.
Does QuoteCloud take instalments or bill the balance?
No. QuoteCloud takes a deposit or the full amount when the quote is signed, through Stripe or PayPal. It doesn't run instalment plans, send payment reminders or charge the balance when the job's done. Invoice the balance from your accounting software, as you do today.
Does QuoteCloud store card details?
No. Payments run through the third-party gateway, Stripe or PayPal, and QuoteCloud does not store your customers' card details. Documents are protected with 256-bit encryption and hosted on Amazon Web Services, and every signed quote carries an audit trail and a certificate of authenticity.
Which plan do I need to take deposits?
Accepting payments is included on Essentials (US$39 per user per month), Business (US$59) and Enterprise, not on Free or Starter. eSignatures are included on every plan, and Essentials and Business start with a 14-day free trial with no credit card.
