- Building QuoteCloud since 2013
In QuoteCloud your licence numbers, insurance details, workmanship warranty and safety statements live in the content library as company blocks you drop into any quote or agreement, or build into your job templates. On the Business plan you can lock them so technicians use them but can't edit them. QuoteCloud does not check or verify licences or insurance.
A sample switchboard upgrade quote from a fictional business, Ridgeline Trade Services, behind a panel listing the company blocks it contains, ticking off one by one: electrical contractor licence, plumbing licence, public liability and workers compensation, and the workmanship warranty (each a locked block), then a safety statement and terms of trade.

Your 1970s board has ceramic fuses and no safety switches. We'll replace it with a new board and an RCBO on every circuit, test everything and leave you a certificate of compliance.

One company block with every number
Licence numbers, your insurer's policy numbers, the warranty you give and how you keep a site safe, written once by the office in one block. Every quote that uses it shows the same, current details.
On the Business plan, lock it. Technicians can add the block to a quote, but nobody can change a licence number on site.

Every quote assembled from approved blocks
The compliance wording, the scope for each common job and your terms sit in the content library. A switchboard quote picks up the blocks it needs, in order.

Lock what must not change
Locked blocks can be added to any quote but not edited; only admins or permitted roles unlock them.
Content locking: Business
Or build them into templates
Put the blocks straight into your job templates so every new quote starts with them.
Warranty terms the customer signs
Spell out the workmanship warranty in the quote: what it covers, how long, what it doesn't and how to make a claim. When the customer signs the quote, they've signed to those terms.
Selling a longer labour warranty? Add it as an optional row in the price table, beside the warranty block that describes it.

Compliance content: questions
Can I put my licence number and insurance on every quote?
Yes. Save your licence numbers, insurance policy details, warranty and safety wording as a block in the content library, then add it to any quote or agreement, or build it into your job templates. The content library is on Essentials and above.
Can I stop technicians editing the compliance wording?
Yes, on the Business plan. Lock the block in the content library: technicians can still drag it into quotes and agreements, but it stays non-editable there, and only admins or users with the right permissions can unlock it. Unlocked blocks remain editable in each document.
Does QuoteCloud verify licences or insurance?
No. Licence and policy numbers are content you enter and keep up to date. QuoteCloud shows them in your documents exactly as written; it does not check them with any licensing body or insurer. Update the block in your library whenever a licence or policy renews.
How do I include warranty terms in a quote?
Write your workmanship warranty as a text block covering what it covers, for how long, what isn't covered and how to claim, and save it to your library. Add it to quotes or templates; when the customer signs the quote, they sign to the terms in it. An extended warranty can be an optional row in the price table.
Can I attach certificates or safety documents?
Yes. Upload PDFs and images to your content library, in a folder for compliance documents, then add them to a quote or agreement where a customer needs them, for example a sample compliance certificate or a summary of your safety method statement.
