Getting started with QuoteCloud

QuoteCloud automation recipes for every app

CRM, accounting, payments, field service, sheets, files and team chat: one card per app, each with a typical recipe and a link to its own guide.

Most apps connect to QuoteCloud through its Zapier app or a Make scenario, on the Essentials plan and up: CRMs, Xero, QuickBooks Online, FreshBooks, ServiceM8, simPRO, Zendesk, Google and Microsoft apps, Slack and Teams. Stripe and PayPal are direct payment connections. The API and MCP suit your own systems and AI assistants.

Three ways an app reaches QuoteCloud

The route on each card tells you who builds the connection and what it costs.

  • Zapier & Make

Most apps. A Zap uses QuoteCloud's Zapier app; a Make scenario calls QuoteCloud's API or Zapier endpoints, bring your own. Essentials and up; documents a Zap or the API creates carry a per-document fee.

    Connect Zapier
  • Direct: QuoteCloud Payments

Stripe and PayPal connect directly, so the client pays inside the document, with no Zap involved. Essentials and up. QuoteCloud's payment triggers can then start a Zap.

    Pass payments on
  • API, MCP and add-ons

QuoteCloud's API for your own systems, its MCP service for AI assistants (both Essentials and up), and the Salesforce Sync add-on on Business.

How to turn a card into a working Zap

  1. Open the app's guide

Each card links the app's overview, with the exact Zapier steps and the fields to map.

  2. Connect both apps in Zapier

Connect your QuoteCloud account and the other app's account in Zapier. See connect Zapier, step by step.

  3. Map the fields

Map the trigger's values into the steps. What Create Document can fill.

  4. Test with a sample record

Run each step with test data and check the result in both apps. Testing and the usual fixes.

  5. Turn it on and record it

Turn the Zap on, then note it in your register of automations. Who owns the Zaps.

Recipe questions

Which apps work with QuoteCloud?

Any app on Zapier, through QuoteCloud's Zapier app, and any app you can reach from a Make scenario. QuoteCloud has guides for HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive, monday.com, Zoho CRM, Dynamics, Zendesk Sell, Xero, QuickBooks Online, FreshBooks, ServiceM8, simPRO, Zendesk, Google and Microsoft apps, Slack and Teams.

Is there a built-in Xero or QuickBooks Online connection?

No. Xero and QuickBooks Online connect to QuoteCloud through Zapier and Make, on the Essentials plan and up. A Zap can turn a signed quote into an invoice, with the customer found or created first. There's no other kind of connection to them on any plan.

Do I need Zapier to take payments with Stripe or PayPal?

No. Stripe and PayPal are direct connections through QuoteCloud Payments, on Essentials and up, so the client pays inside the document. Zapier is only needed to pass the payment on, for example with the Document Paid or Document Part Paid trigger.

My app isn't in the gallery. Can it still connect?

Often, yes. If the app is on Zapier, a Zap can join it to QuoteCloud's triggers, actions and searches. If your team uses Make, a scenario can call QuoteCloud's API. For in-house systems, a developer can use the API directly.
