Scope and revision rounds the client signs
What each deliverable includes, how many rounds of changes, and what's out of scope, locked in your template and signed with the proposal.

- Building QuoteCloud since 2013
Agencies put the scope of work, deliverables and revision rounds into QuoteCloud as locked library blocks (content locking, Business), so account managers can't change the wording. When scope changes, Revise Last Version creates an updated proposal before signing, or a new change document after; version history is on Business.
One deliverable from a fictional studio's locked scope, wine labels for three wines with two rounds, moving along a track: the first draft in week 6, round 1 in week 7 with the client's notes, round 2 in week 8 for final tweaks. The client asks in a comment for one more colour on the Rosé, and the fourth station, an extra round, is quoted at 2 hours at $180 and signed as a change before the studio starts it.

Deliverables and rounds, signed with the price
Orchard Lane's proposal says what the strategy, logo, labels and copy include, how many rounds each gets, and what's not included. It's one block from the library, locked, so the account manager can't soften "2 rounds" into "as many as you need".
When Grace asks a question about rounds, she asks it in a comment on the proposal and the studio answers there, before anyone signs.

Scope written by the studio lead, used by everyone
The scope blocks live in the content library, locked. Account managers assemble the proposal; only the studio lead changes what a deliverable includes.

Edit rights
Role permissions decide who can change a scope block.
In every template
Rebrand, website and retainer templates all start with them.
Where agency margins leak, and the line that stops it
Most scope creep isn't a big change. It's a small one nobody priced. What the scope section should say before the client signs.
How many rounds
"2 rounds" per deliverable, and what counts as a round: one set of consolidated feedback.
What's not included
Printing, building the website, ad spend, stock imagery. If it's not listed, say so.
What an extra costs
An hourly rate or a fixed price per extra round, written into the terms.
Where questions go
Comments on the proposal, answered there, so the answer sits beside the scope.
How changes are agreed
A revised version before signing, or a change document after, signed before the work.
Your words, not ours
These are your terms. QuoteCloud sends and signs them; it doesn't count rounds or give legal advice.

A change becomes version 2, not a favour
Maya asked for two more pages and a third round on the home page before she signed. Rina used Revise Last Version: the same proposal with fourteen pages, the search titles to match and an extra round priced at two hours. The locked scope didn't change.
Version 1 and version 2 both stay in the proposal's history, with what changed and the new total. Maya signed version 2 and paid the 50% deposit on the new total.

Scope and revision questions, answered
How do we put revision rounds into a proposal?
Write them into the scope: each deliverable, what it includes and how many rounds, plus what an extra round costs. Save it as a block in the content library and, on the Business plan, lock it so the wording is the same in every proposal.
Does QuoteCloud count or track revision rounds?
No. Revision rounds are your terms, written in the proposal the client signs. QuoteCloud doesn't track rounds, manage proofs or approve artwork; those stay in your usual tools. It keeps the signed agreement and its audit trail.
What happens when the client wants to change the scope before signing?
Use Revise Last Version to create an updated proposal with the new or extra items priced, and send it again. On the Business plan, version history keeps both versions so you can see what changed.
What if the scope changes after the proposal is signed?
Send a short change document with the extra work priced, and have the client sign it before you start. It can take its own payment on signing through Stripe or PayPal. The original signed proposal stays as it was.
Can account managers edit the scope wording?
Not if it's locked. Content locking, on the Business plan, lets them use a scope block but not change it. Role permissions decide who can edit the block in the library.
