Solar, battery and EV packages in one proposal
Three packages priced by one sheet, chosen in the proposal, with extras to tick and a deposit that follows the choice.
- 5/5 on G2
- 4.2 on Capterra
- Building QuoteCloud since 2013
QuoteCloud lets solar retailers put packages such as Solar only, Solar + battery and Solar, battery & EV in one proposal as a single choice. One Spreadsheet block prices all three from the components each includes, its cells set each package line's description and unit price, and the household chooses, ticks extras, signs and pays a deposit.
Three solar packages from a fictional business, Tallowwood Solar & Storage, for Mei and Tom Varga, stepping up like stairs beneath a drawing of their house: Solar only, a 6.6 kW array, $5,480 + tax; Solar + battery, adding a 10 kWh battery, $13,610 + tax; and Solar, battery & EV, adding a 7 kW charger, $15,300 + tax. Each price comes from a cell on the installer's Packages tab connected to the package line, and the house lights the array, the battery and the charger as each package comes to the front.

One sheet prices all three packages
The Packages tab lists every component once with its price, and a 1 or 0 under each package for whether it's included. SUMPRODUCT adds up each column, and those three cells are connected to the three package lines' unit prices; the row below sets their names.
Change the battery's price on the tab and all three packages are right in the next proposal. The rebate or incentive is your typed figure, included in every package.

Packages households can choose between
What works when the household can't weigh kW and kWh but can compare three clear options.
Keep the array the same
Each package adds to the same system, so the choice is how far to go, not whose panels.
Name them plainly
Solar only, + battery, + EV. No savings promises in the names; put estimates in the sheet.
Price them from one tab
Components and flags on one Packages tab, so no package drifts.
Extras to tick
Bird-proofing or a switchboard upgrade, ticked or not, under the choice.
A default choice
Preselect the package you'd recommend; the household can change it.
A deposit that follows
The deposit is a percentage of whatever they choose, paid on signing.
Send three packages in one proposal
Free for 14 days, no credit card required. We'll convert one of your package proposals into a template during the trial.
Prefer cards? Use the packages block
Some retailers like packages laid out as cards. QuoteCloud's packages block shows them side by side as one choice that sets the package line in the price table below, with the same extras to tick.
Card prices are typed in the block; for prices that follow your sheet, use a choice group in the price table connected to the Packages tab, as above.
- Cards side by side, one choice
- Sets the package line
- Extras and deposit as usual

Package questions
Can I offer good, better and best solar packages in one quote?
Yes. Put the packages in one proposal as a single-choice group in the price table, or as cards with the packages block. The household picks one, ticks any extras, signs and pays a deposit on the total they chose.
Can package prices come from my spreadsheet?
Yes. Build a Packages tab in a Spreadsheet block that adds up the components each package includes, then connect each package's price cell to its line's unit price and its name cell to the description. Change a component price and every package follows.
Can the household change their mind after choosing?
Yes, until they sign. They can switch packages and tick or untick extras as often as they like; the total and deposit follow. Once signed, the proposal is locked with a certificate of authenticity.
Can my automation choose the package for the customer?
No. Automations through the API, Zapier or Make can create the proposal, fill data items and add price rows, and Zapier can write values into the sheet's cells, but they don't tick options or choose a package. The household chooses; you can preselect a default in the template.
How do I show a rebate in a package price?
Type your rebate or incentive figure on the Packages tab and include it in each package, or show it as its own line. Either way it's your figure: QuoteCloud doesn't calculate or claim rebates or check eligibility.
