In QuoteCloud a solar retailer shows a rebate or incentive as a price-table line they enter, often typed into a cell of their sizing sheet that's connected to the line's unit price, with their own wording and an 'Installer's figure' tag. QuoteCloud doesn't calculate, create or claim rebates or incentives and doesn't check eligibility.
A solar and battery proposal from a fictional business, Tallowwood Solar & Storage. The equipment lines total $17,479.00 inc tax before any rebate. The installer types a rebate figure, minus $2,640, into cell C14 of the sizing sheet's Rates tab; a line called Rebate / incentive discount, tagged Installer's figure, slides into the price table with its unit price connected to that cell, and the price the household pays settles at $14,575.00 inc tax.

A figure you type, connected to its own line
Rebates and incentives depend on where you work, the system and the household, and the figure is yours to work out and stand behind. So in Tallowwood's sheet it isn't a formula: Nate types it into Rates!C14, coloured as a typed-in cell.
That cell is connected to the rebate line's unit price. The line carries an 'Installer's figure' tag and your wording in its note, and the total and deposit are worked out after it.

An incentive the household may be eligible for
For Ruth's battery the incentive depends on her eligibility, so the line says so: 'Installer's figure if you're eligible; we check eligibility and claim it.' Nate types the amount into Battery!D12 and the incentive line takes it.
If it turns out she isn't eligible, revise the proposal with the line removed and send it again: the total, deposit and payback estimate follow.

How to word a rebate or incentive line
What households and your compliance team both need from the line.
Say whose figure it is
Tag the line 'Installer's figure' and type it in a labelled cell.
Say what it depends on
If it depends on eligibility, say so in the note, and who checks it.
Show before and after
A negative line shows the price before and after; tax follows your account's setting.
Date your prices
An expiry date on the proposal for when the figure stops applying.
Same words everywhere
Save the explanation in your content library and lock it (Business).
Revise if it changes
Remove or change the line and send a revised proposal; the total follows.

Your figure, your claim
QuoteCloud shows the rebate. Your business works it out.
QuoteCloud doesn't calculate, create or claim rebates or incentives, and doesn't check eligibility. It puts your figure in front of the household, clearly, in a proposal they sign.
Solar FAQRebate and incentive questions
How do I show a solar rebate or incentive in a QuoteCloud proposal?
As a price-table line you enter, usually a negative amount such as 'Rebate / incentive discount', tagged as your figure, with your wording in the note. You can type the figure into a cell of your sizing sheet and connect that cell to the line's unit price, so it sits with your other rates.
Does QuoteCloud calculate rebates or check eligibility?
No. QuoteCloud doesn't calculate, create or claim rebates or incentives, and doesn't check eligibility for any program. The figure, the eligibility check and any claim are your business's own; QuoteCloud shows your line in the proposal.
How is tax handled on a rebate line?
The line sits in the price table like any other, and tax is worked out on the subtotal using the tax settings on your account and price table. How a rebate is treated for tax where you work is for you to confirm.
Can I stop consultants changing the rebate wording?
Yes, on the Business plan. Save the wording as a block in your content library and lock it with content locking, so consultants can fill in the figure but not edit the explanation.
What if the household turns out not to be eligible?
Revise the proposal: remove or change the line and send the new version. The total and deposit follow, and any payback estimate in your sheet uses the new total.
