Getting started with QuoteCloud

Asset finance quotes directors sign from site

The asset, the term options and your repayment estimates from the lender's quote, chosen and signed by each director on their phone.

Asset and commercial finance brokers send quotes from QuoteCloud templates: the equipment or vehicle, term options with the repayment estimates typed in from the lender's quote, a balloon where it applies, and the client's choice, signed online by each director. QuoteCloud does not calculate repayments or offer finance; the lender's documents follow separately.

Three pages of a sample equipment finance quote from a fictional firm, Ferrowby Advice & Lending, to Gully Creek Earthmoving for a $185,000 excavator, taking turns at the front. The cover. The term options typed in by the broker from the lender's quote: 36 months at about $5,836 a month, 48 months at about $4,556 a month, chosen, and 60 months with a 20% balloon at about $3,294 a month, all sample figures at 8.45% p.a. and labelled as estimates. The signature page: Ben Ruddock, director, has signed; Kara Ruddock, director, is still to sign.

Three terms, your estimates, one choice signed

Leon types the options from the lender's quote straight into the document: the term, the rate, any balloon and the repayment estimate. Gully Creek chooses 48 months, and each director signs the same quote from wherever they are. Ben signed at 6:05 am from site; Kara is still to sign.

The note under the table says where the figures came from and that they aren't an offer of finance. QuoteCloud doesn't calculate anything here: it carries your figures to the client and brings back the go-ahead.

Every kind of finance you quote, in your own layout

One template per kind of finance, each with the blocks that kind of quote needs.

  • Equipment finance

The asset, the supplier's price, the term options and your repayment estimates, with a photo of the machine if you like.

  • Vehicles and fleets

One line per vehicle in a price table with group subtotals, and the finance options for the fleet as a whole.

  • Commercial and business loans

Start from the Bank Loan Proposal template: purpose, amount, terms and security, in your wording.

  • What the lender will need

A plain list of the documents the lender asks for. The documents themselves come to you through your secure process.

  • Questions in the quote

Directors ask in comments on the quote, and you answer there, so the thread stays with the deal.

  • An expiry date

Lender quotes don't last. Set the quote to expire when the lender's figures do.

What changes once your quotes are in QuoteCloud

The same broker, the same lenders. The way the client sees the options and says yes is what changes.

Asset & commercial finance

The go-ahead from site, before the lender's paperwork

Business owners decide between jobs, often on a phone. A quote they can read there, and sign there, keeps the deal moving while the figures are still current.

Questions finance brokers ask

Does QuoteCloud calculate finance repayments?

No. QuoteCloud has no finance calculator, rate feed or lender integration. The broker types the term, rate, balloon and repayment estimate for each option from the lender's quote into the document, and labels them as estimates. The lender's own documents set the final figures, and the client signs those separately.

Is a signed QuoteCloud finance quote an offer or approval of finance?

No. It records which option the client chose and gives the broker every director's go-ahead to proceed. It isn't an offer, an approval or a credit contract. Those come from the lender, through its own documents and processes, after the broker submits the application.

Can two directors sign the same finance quote?

Yes. Add each director as a signer. Each one signs the same quote in their own browser, on a phone or a laptop, with no account, and the quote shows how many have signed. There's no signing order to manage. Each signature is covered by a certificate of authenticity and an audit trail.

Can the client choose between term options?

Yes. Lay out the terms the lender offered, such as 36, 48 or 60 months with or without a balloon, with the estimates you typed. The client confirms their choice, which you can also record as a single-choice group in a price table, and signs. Price tables are on the Essentials plan and above.

Which template should we start from for commercial loans?

The Bank Loan Proposal template in the QuoteCloud library is a good starting point for a commercial or business loan proposal: loan amount, purpose, repayment terms and security. Replace its wording with your own and save it as your firm's template. One template conversion is free during the trial.

Can we take a fee when the client signs?

Yes, if you charge one. Add the fee as a price-table line and set a payment on signing as a percentage or a fixed amount. It goes to the Stripe or PayPal account your firm connects. Check the rules that apply to your firm before taking fees this way. Payments are on the Essentials plan and above.
