Couples, trustees and directors, all signing one document
Every client who must agree signs the same proposal or engagement letter in their own browser, wherever they are, with no account.

QuoteCloud documents can have several signers, each with their own signature block: both partners in a couple, each director of a corporate trustee, or the directors of a company borrowing for equipment. Each signs online in their own browser with no account, an optional one-time passcode can be sent by email, and the signed document carries a certificate of authenticity.
Two kitchen tables in different towns. In Lakeview, Tom Brennan signs a sample fee proposal from a fictional firm, Ferrowby Advice & Lending, on his laptop at 7:42 pm. In Northgate, Alicia Brennan signs the same document on her phone at 7:49 pm. Each signature draws in turn and ticks on the shared document card between them, which then shows signed by 2 of 2 and $1,815.00 paid on signing.

A passcode in each signer's own inbox
Switch on the one-time passcode when you send, and each signer receives a code by email before they can sign. Jo entered hers on Wednesday morning and signed for the trustee company.
It shows that the person signing can open that signer's email. It isn't an identity check: your firm still verifies identity its own way.
- Optional, set when you send the document
- Sent by email to each signer
- Certificate of authenticity and audit trail on the signed document

Verify and sign
Optional: the firm switches on the email passcode when sending, so each signer enters a code sent to their own email address before they sign. It is not an identity check.

Questions about several signers, answered
Can both partners sign the same proposal online?
Yes. Add each partner as a signer and each receives their own link. They sign in their own browser, on any device and at any time, with no account. The document shows each signer's row as signed with the time, or awaiting signature. eSignatures with several signers are on every plan.
How do trustees sign for a trust?
Add each person who must sign as a signer with their role, such as each director of the corporate trustee. Your firm decides who must sign for the trust; QuoteCloud gives each of them a signature block and records when they signed.
Can we set the order people sign in?
QuoteCloud collects a signature from every signer, and any of them can sign first: there is no signing order to set. If your firm needs one person to sign before another, your team manages that when it follows up. The document always shows who has signed and who hasn't.
What is the one-time passcode?
An optional setting when you send: each signer receives a code by email and enters it before signing. It shows the person signing can open that email address. It is not an identity check, and your firm still verifies identity through its own process.
When is the fee paid if two people sign?
The payment on signing goes to your own connected Stripe or PayPal account. You set the amount as a percentage or a fixed sum of the once-off fees, or the full fee, and the signed document shows it as paid. Payments are on Essentials and above; check the rules that apply to your firm.
What record do we keep of who signed?
The signed document carries a certificate of authenticity and an audit trail with each signer's name and when they signed. You can download the signed document as a PDF and keep it with your client file.
