Getting started with QuoteCloud

Templates for your fee proposals and engagement letters

Start from a real QuoteCloud template, then make it your firm's own fee proposal, engagement letter or renewal agreement.

QuoteCloud's template library includes a Mortgage Services Sales Proposal, a Bank Loan Proposal, a Financial Funding Proposal and a Budget Proposal, plus consultative quote layouts. Open one, add your scope, fees and wording, lock what shouldn't change and save it as your firm's template. One template conversion is free during the trial.

Four sample documents from a fictional firm, Ferrowby Advice & Lending, filed behind index tabs that take turns at the front: the cover of a service and fee proposal for Tom and Alicia Brennan, the terms of an engagement letter, a broker's loan comparison typed in from three fictional lenders, and an ongoing fee arrangement renewal. Each one is built from the firm's own template.

Each of your documents, and where to start it

A suggested starting point for every document an advice or broking firm sends. Replace the sample wording with your own.

Send us your fee proposal, get a template back

Most firms already have a fee proposal and an engagement letter they trust. During the trial, QuoteCloud converts one of them into a template for you: your branding, your layout, your wording.

Your team then adds the parts that make it work online: the fees in a price table, data items for the clients' names, your engagement terms as locked blocks and the signers. Once it's in place, every adviser starts from the same approved document.

Questions about templates

Does QuoteCloud have financial planning or advice templates?

Not specifically. The template library has a Mortgage Services Sales Proposal, a Bank Loan Proposal, a Financial Funding Proposal, a Budget Proposal and consultative quote layouts, but no template made for financial planners or advisers. Firms build their own fee proposal and engagement letter from one of these, or have QuoteCloud convert their current document during the trial.

Are the templates compliant with advice or credit rules?

QuoteCloud makes no such claim. The templates are layouts and sample wording for sales documents, not reviewed for any advice or credit rules. Your firm writes its own scope, fee and engagement wording, checks it against the rules that apply to you, and can lock it so advisers can't change it.

Can QuoteCloud convert our existing fee proposal?

Yes. One template conversion is free during the trial on the Essentials, Business and Enterprise plans. Send your current fee proposal or engagement letter, usually a Word document or PDF, and it comes back as a QuoteCloud template with your branding, ready for your fees and wording.

Can we lock the wording in a template?

Yes, on the Business plan. Save your engagement terms, acknowledgements, privacy and complaints wording as locked blocks in the content library, then add them to each template. Advisers and brokers can fill in the scope and fees but can't edit the locked blocks. The content library itself is on Essentials and above.

How many templates does an advice or broking firm need?

Usually one per service you sell: an initial advice fee proposal, an ongoing service agreement, a renewal agreement, an engagement letter, a broker service proposal and an asset finance quote. Shared blocks in the content library, such as your firm profile and terms, keep the wording the same across them.

Can different teams have their own templates?

Yes. A firm with an advice team and a broking team can keep separate templates for each, and custom user roles control who can add to and edit the content library. Each team can also connect its own Stripe account, so fees paid on signing go to the right part of the business.
