Getting started with QuoteCloud

Every vendor signs, the campaign deposit is paid

Two or more vendors sign online, each in their own inbox, and the campaign deposit is paid through Stripe or PayPal on the same page.

QuoteCloud proposals can have several signers, each with their own signature block, so every vendor on the title signs online with no account and a certificate of authenticity. With Stripe or PayPal connected (Essentials and up) the campaign deposit, a percentage or fixed amount, is paid straight after signing and the proposal is marked Paid.

Two phones side by side, one for each vendor of 14 Linden Crescent in a sample listing proposal from a fictional agency. Claire Whitaker opens the proposal at home and signs at 7:58 pm; Tom Whitaker, away for work, opens it on his own phone and signs at 8:06 pm, then pays the 50% campaign deposit of $4,070.00. Underneath, a strip shows the proposal sent to both vendors, 1 of 2 signed, 2 of 2 signed and the deposit paid.

Thank you both for showing me through on Thursday. Below are the sales I'd compare your home with, how I'd take it to market, what we'd charge, and the campaign I'd recommend, with the upgrades you can add yourselves.

    The proposal

One proposal, sent to both vendors

Claire and Tom each receive their own link by email. Neither needs an account, and either can open it first.

No printing, scanning or posting pages between two addresses. If one vendor is overseas or on a site visit, they sign on their phone from the same link.

Signed by every vendor, funded before launch

How an agency sets up signing and the campaign deposit once, then uses it on every listing.

  1. Connect Stripe or PayPal

Connect the agency's own account once. Payments go there, not to QuoteCloud.

  2. Set the deposit

In the listing template, set the campaign deposit as a percentage or a fixed amount of the price table.

  3. Add every vendor

Add each person on the title as a signer, each with their own signature block and email.

  4. They sign and pay

Each vendor signs when they open it, and the campaign deposit is paid through the proposal on signing.

  5. Your systems update

A Zapier trigger such as Recipient Signed Document or Document Payment Event can update your CRM. Your agency agreement is signed alongside, as usual.

Paid before the photographer is booked

The Whitakers' 50% campaign deposit was paid by card on signing, into the agency's own Stripe account. Nina booked the twilight and drone shoot the next morning.

The details vendors and principals ask about

What each vendor experiences when they sign, and what the agency keeps afterwards.

  • No account to create

Vendors open the link and sign. Nothing to download or register, on a phone, tablet or computer.

  • A one-time passcode

Optionally ask each signer for a one-time passcode before they can sign, for an extra check on who is signing.

  • Signed at the table

Vendors who are with you can sign in person on your tablet or phone, straight after the appraisal.

  • Certificate and audit trail

The signed proposal carries a certificate of authenticity and audit trail. QuoteCloud eSignatures are legally binding and eIDAS compliant.

  • Your own Stripe or PayPal

The deposit goes to the account you connect. QuoteCloud doesn't hold funds, bill balances or send payment reminders.

  • Beside your agency agreement

The proposal records the campaign and the vendors' choices. Your agency agreement is still your own document, prepared and signed as you do now.

Signing and deposit questions, answered

Can both vendors sign a listing proposal online?

Yes. Add each vendor as a signer with their own signature block. Each receives their own link and signs in their own browser on any device, with no account. The signed proposal carries a certificate of authenticity and audit trail, and eSignatures are included on every QuoteCloud plan.

What if one vendor is overseas?

Each signer gets their own link and signs in their own browser on any device, wherever they are, so you don't wait for paper to travel. You can see who has signed and who hasn't, and the signed proposal carries a certificate of authenticity and audit trail.

Do the vendors have to sign in a particular order?

No order is set: each vendor signs when they open the proposal. You can see who has signed so far, and the campaign deposit is paid through the proposal on signing.

How is the campaign deposit paid?

With Stripe or PayPal connected (Essentials and up), the deposit is paid on the same page straight after signing, as a percentage or a fixed amount of the campaign, and the proposal is marked Paid. One payment on signing: QuoteCloud does not bill balances, take instalments or send payment reminders.

Is the signed proposal our agency agreement?

No. It records the campaign and the vendors' choices. Your agency agreement is your own document, prepared and signed under your usual process. If you send it as a PDF for signature in QuoteCloud, QuoteCloud does not check that it meets your local requirements.

Can vendors sign at the appraisal?

Yes. Signing in person on the agent's own tablet or phone is supported, so vendors who are ready can sign at the kitchen table. You can also ask each signer for a one-time passcode before they sign.
