Getting started with QuoteCloud

Marketing campaigns vendors build themselves

Campaign packages and optional upgrades in one price table: the vendor picks a package, ticks drone or video, and the vendor-paid advertising total follows.

In QuoteCloud an agency sets out its campaign as a price table: Essential, Signature and Prestige packages as a single choice, and upgrades such as drone, video walkthrough, virtual styling, portal upgrades, signboards, print and letterbox drops as optional rows. The vendor chooses, the subtotal, tax and total recalculate, and the campaign deposit is paid on signing.

A sample marketing campaign for 14 Linden Crescent from a fictional agency, laid out as a contact sheet: photography, a twilight shoot, a floor and site plan, a premium portal listing, a photo signboard and brochures are included in the Signature campaign. Three upgrades tick in turn, drone, video walkthrough and virtual styling, and the bar underneath shows the total inc tax and the 50% deposit: $8,140.00 and $4,070.00 with drone added.

A campaign for every kind of home

One template per property type, each with its own campaign packages and prices. The agent starts from the right one; the package the agency recommends is already selected, and the vendor can choose another.

Thanks for the walk-through on Monday, Mei. Apartments in this block sell best with time for buyers to compare, so I'd recommend private treaty with an asking range, and a lean campaign with styled photos.

Thank you both for showing me through on Thursday. Below are the sales I'd compare your home with, how I'd take it to market, what we'd charge, and the campaign I'd recommend, with the upgrades you can add yourselves.

Thank you both for the tour of the paddocks and the new shed. A property like yours has a small, considered set of buyers, so I'd recommend expressions of interest and a campaign that shows the land from the air.

For 210 Ridgeback Road: Prestige recommended, which already includes video and the top-spot upgrade. Drone and a rural press feature are the upgrades that matter here.

Upgrades the vendors tick themselves

Below the packages sits the vendor-paid advertising: the chosen campaign as one line, the upgrades as optional rows with a note on what each one does. Vendors tick what they want and the subtotal, tax, total and campaign deposit follow as they go.

No back-and-forth emails about whether video is worth it. The decision is made in the proposal, with the price in front of them, and you can see in the document history what they added. Try it here.

  • Packages as a single choice, upgrades as optional rows
  • Line notes that explain what each upgrade does
  • Deposit as a percentage or a fixed amount of the total
  • Discount and tax columns where you need them

What changes when the campaign lives in the proposal

The jobs around vendor-paid advertising that agents and principals do every week, before and after QuoteCloud.

The jobTodayWith QuoteCloud
Pricing a campaign Each agent keeps their own spreadsheet, and prices drift between offices. Every proposal starts from the agency's saved campaign price tables, by property type.
Choosing upgrades The vendor asks about drone by text, you resend the schedule with a new total. The vendor ticks drone in the proposal and the total and deposit update in front of them.
Agreeing the spend A separate marketing authority, printed and signed later. The campaign is accepted and signed in the same proposal, by every vendor, with a certificate.
Funding the launch Booking the photographer before any money has come in. A campaign deposit, as a percentage or fixed amount, is paid by card or PayPal on signing. Every vendor signs.
Your supplier costs Margins visible to anyone who opens the spreadsheet. Supplier cost and margin kept in the catalogue and hidden from vendors.

Campaign and vendor-paid advertising questions

How do vendors choose a marketing campaign in QuoteCloud?

Set out your campaign packages as a single choice in the proposal, with the recommended one selected, and the upgrades as optional rows in the price table. The vendor picks a package and ticks upgrades such as drone or video, and the subtotal, tax, total and campaign deposit recalculate as they go. Price tables are on Essentials and above.

Can our campaign prices live in one place for every agent?

Yes. Load photography, video, portal, signboard and print prices into the product catalogue (Essentials and up), or save the campaign price table to the content library, so every listing proposal starts from the same prices. Costs and margins can be hidden from the vendor.

Can different properties have different campaigns?

Yes. Keep one template per property type, such as apartment, house and acreage, each with its own packages, prices and upgrades. The agent starts from the right template. QuoteCloud does not choose the template or tick options by itself; the agent or the vendor does.

Can the vendor pay for the campaign when they sign?

Yes, one payment on signing: a campaign deposit as a percentage or a fixed amount, or the full campaign, through your own Stripe or PayPal account (Essentials and up). Any balance is invoiced from your own accounts; QuoteCloud does not bill it, send reminders or split it into instalments.

Does QuoteCloud book the photographer or place the ads?

No. QuoteCloud records what the vendors chose and signed. Your team books suppliers and lists the property as usual. If you use Zapier, a trigger such as Recipient Signed Document can start your own automation, for example a task in your CRM.

Where should vendor-paid advertising funds be held?

That depends on your local rules and your agency's processes, so decide it with your accountant. QuoteCloud takes the payment into the Stripe or PayPal account you connect; it is not a trust accounting system and gives no advice on where funds must be held.
